118/124, doing the other one first definitely helped :)

Even thirty seconds would help!

As with the other game, it took about 3 minutes to do every consonant+vowel and vowel+consonant, and another 30 seconds to randomly guess the rest.

Man, this is obscure. Got em all, but that's because of mad fast typing and 26x26 letters, what's that, only 676 combos

Guessed all with 9 seconds remaining. Seems like the time is just perfect. This is basically a puzzle that rewards fast typing (but not too fast or the interface won't have time to recognize the word before you delete it and move to the next one!) The Scrabble one should be set to 5 minutes as well, since they're basically the same puzzle.

@Tony: You can cut down to 256 combinations of consonant+vowel and vowel+anything, counting `Y' as a vowel if it's the second letter of the word. Plus a few consonant-consonant words that can be learnt as exceptions.

Nice puzzle, I got 112/124. The SOWPODS version is kind of rough.

@SJ: It seems to me that your quote should be "Fee Fie Foe Fum", but how often does anyone read or write that story? More of an oral tradition.

They are the two official dictionaries of competative scrabble. In North America we use TWL (The Word List sometimes called TWL2 because it is the updated list) OSPD stands for Official Scrabble Players Dictionary) It is the same for the most part but it doesn't include "offensive words". SOWPODS is what they used to call the dictionary for competative Scrabble in the rest of the world, but they also recently updated their dictionary and it is now referred to as Collins though SOWPODS is commonly used though don't ask me what it stands for. There is always debate within the N. American Scrabble community over switching from TWL to SOWPODS/COLLINS (It has a much larger list of words.)

@Jeremy: The link on this page to the SOWPODS list gives this explanation of the term: SOWPODS an anagram of two abbreviations: Official Scrabble Players Dictionary (OSPD) and Official Scrabble Words (OSW).

Got them all with 3 seconds left. As a TWL player, some of these SOWPODS words are funky o.O

you can tell people are guessing when the word "ag", a word nobody uses much, is more recognised than "on" or "so"!
