Think about how hard it is to get on this list. Then think about how in 2004 Ichiro got 61 more hits than he needed to make it. And he's made it 10 times in 10 MLB seasons. Freak.

Futer Hall-of-famers on list: Ichiro, Jeter, Guerrero, Tejada, Arod, Pujols. Also, what do you think about these guys chances in the HOF? Ordonez, Rollins, Young, Pierre.

If Mark Grudzielanek was actually good, he could be the sports equivalent of Kyrgyzstan. Sadly he doesn't appear on these quizzes enough to actually learn how to spell his name.

@refwen Ichrio is not his name. It's Ichiro. @sc00 he's a career .289 hitter over 15 seasons. he's good hitter. just not an ichiro.

@gofortyniners17: I would add Helton to the list of sure hall of famers - a .324 career average, probably just falls short of 2,500 hits, and was the face of a franchise for a decade. I think Young makes it and Rollins does if he can stay healthy. Pierre is on the very fringe if he can stay healthy and continue to put up numbers like the ones he did this season. His best shot on getting in is with steals. I'd be more inclined to say no. I don't think Ordonez has a shot - if he could put in a couple of productive seasons then maybe, but I just don't see him doing that.

@tmxicon: No way do Young and Rollins make it into the Hall of Fame unless they both play well into their 40s. Rollins has a better chance because of his MVP, SB, and handful of gold gloves. Young is the most overrated player in baseball.

@Asmodeus10: Michael Young overated?!? He's the most underated player in baseball! He's a career .300 hitter through 10 seasons and has great run totals. Also, he usually hits around 20 HRs a year. @briancurran: You're right Tejada probably comes up short... Maybe with another 2 good years he makes it in i mean the man has 300 bombs on his career. Also, I think he's involved in the steroid allegations.

pierre is too old and does not have enough hits. 33 years old and only 1842 hits. no way he gets in.

@GoFortyNiners17: Look at Young's stats. The only one that is above average is hits. He has an average OPS, no speed, terrible defense, and average power. 20 HR in Texas is not impressive. He's basically Ichiro without speed or defense. And runs are a terrible indicator of an individual's talent. It depends on who you have hitting behind you.

@ivn: Even with the 699 at bats he had. He still had to be a .285 hitter. The main reason he had 200 in the early 00s is because he is too fast. 30+ infield singles? That's just hit and run baseball. @Asmodeus: Over 12 seasons Young averages 98 runs, 88 RBIs and 199 hits. I'm pretty sure those are all well over average. Young has been at the top 5 in fielding % 7 times. Sure he committed almost 19 errors in 3 seasons, but that happens when you are also a leader in def. games played. He has an above average OPS and HRs, but they are by no means upper echelon.
