Huey Lewis & the News had a special edit for Canadian radio stations that also added Toronto & Montreal. They should at least be bonus answers.

That's really America-centered... I always thought the heart of rock 'n roll was in Britain?

Huey must have done a ton of local overdubs for local radio markets. I distinctly remember him doing "Richmond! Bal-ti-MORE!" here in MD in the 80s. Of course DC was already in the main song.

Hollywood is the same thing as Los Angeles, because Holylwood is in Los Angeles.

Montreal is not on the album version. I too heard Baltimore on my local radio stations.

Huey, Huey, Huey.... knowing that blues music birthed Rock and Roll, HOW could you not mention CHICAGO?! Broke my heart every time I heard the song. Especially when I heard the "local" version where he just tacked on shouting "Chicago!" right before the fadeout...

How the hell did he work Baton Rouge into the song? Someone must have met a hot coed at LSU.

A Connecticut radio station also had Huey record "Hartford and New Haven" just for them as well.

It would have been great to see him perform this song in Delaware. The Heart of Rock and Roll is still beating in .... uhm... Dover? And, uh... Bear? Wilmington...

our regional version had 'minneapois and milwaukee'..the montreal on this quiz is 100% inaccurate as far as the album version goes. i wonder exactly how many 'regional' versions were made?

Hollywood is a neighborhood in Los Angeles; it is not a separate city in the LA metro area.

Yeah... my version never had Cleveland and Detroit. Never would have gotten those.
