Trivia factoid: William Frawley, who played the character in the F & M clues, was born in 1887. He's dead now of course, but he is probably the person with the earliest birth-date still regularly seen on television daily.

Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball, Xavier Cugat and Charo...apparently Latin bandleaders have a thing for wacky redheads.

24.3% of quiztakers knew "Xavier Cugat"? Really? I think some of you have some 'splaining to do....

i_am_peacock: Sorry, but Xavier Cugat was a very well known bandleader...esp after he married Charo! It was a very easy question with the "X" clue. If you know the movie "Sleeper", he gets mentioned by Diane Keaton..."It's more than keen...it's CUGAT!"

Good gracious, took me two whole minutes of experimental typing to properly spell the "V" clue.

good idea for a quiz. Bonus are a little snarky but I enjoyed the quiz.

What were the bonuses?

cocky: It wasn't really a bonus; it was more of a prompt or hint. For the H clue, I thought someone might try California for "destination where the group was headed on their road trip across the USA". I had a prompt saying "Where in California? It starts with an H." I was trying to be helpful in case someone got frustrated that California had not dropped down. :) chikka2: Sorry, I was really not intending to be snarky. :)

pgrossma: I did have some alternate spellings that I thought people might try for the V answer, though it's hard to think of all the ways people will try it. Thanks for playing. :)

"This was the destination when the group headed across the USA on a road trip" should also take Los Angeles considering that Hollywood is not its own city, and is a division of LA.

@rockgolf...That is a very interesting bit of information. @sunny87....but it doesn't begin with H.

sunny87: If this was a regular quiz, I would have accepted L.A. for that answer. But since it is an A-Z quiz, I think it's fair that Hollywood is the only accepted answer since it is for the H space. That's why I said "destination" instead of "city." Also, going to Hollywood is how the show and the characters referred to that trip and those episodes. :)

Nice quiz. Never would have expected to get them all, but even managed W as a total guess. Also lucked out on spelling V on the first try. Thanks for the nostalgia trip.

Only one I missed was U, because it wasn't related to trivia from the actual show, and even though I was only there in 1967, I tend to think of it as a movie studio instead of a theme park.

Should accept "Bill Holden" as well as he's often referred to by this shortened form in the show. "Crazy" as well as 'Zany' should also be accepted as she's often referred to as being crazy as well.

@seprana: This was an A-Z quiz, so each answer was for that letter of the alphabet. While I agree that Lucy was also described as "crazy", that word wouldn't be right for the "Z" spot. William is for the W spot. :)
