I know 7 minutes already seems like a lot as it is, but can I suggest a little more time? There are a lot of lists for us to go through in our heads, and judging by the quiz results, we could use a few extra minutes. Excellent quiz by the way. I'd really like to see this one get published.

WredAguyW: Sure, I can add some extra time. I was wondering about that. Thanks for the feedback. :)

A Beautiful Mind would usually get filed under B.

Oscar Film Winners sort of sounds like any film that has won an oscar, but I'm assuming it's only best picture winners. As thedpr said, A Beautiful Mind definitely would be filed under B.

@MovieGuru: Okay, thanks, I fixed the Heading to be more clear. @thedpr and MovieGuru: I was wondering if I should discount articles. You've convinced me. I have changed the alphabetically first movie and added a note at the top of the quiz. Thanks for the input. :)

@bozzer: Alfred the Great was an English monarch, but not a British monarch. :)

Given the preponderance of WXYZ answers, I was surprised and delighted to learn that "Washington" is not an answer in any of the 3 categories it qualifies for.

Argh, I couldn't get the first world capital. I kept trying Abuja (Nigeria), but I never thought of Abu Dhabi.

@boss monster- you made it farther than me, i couldn't for the life of me think of something that beats "addis ababa" until... (in m head) OH! I GOT IT! ACCRA, GHANA! not to mention that I just did an arabic presentation on the UAE... talk about an epic fail there.

Albert I, comes before Anne aplhabetically. Other than that, great quiz!

@Louxie: Albert I was never a King of England. He was, however, the first monkey in space.

almost missed Abraham. Also I finally figured out that there was a world capital starting with Z at like 5 seconds left lol.

Even though I knew it was alphabetical order, I couldn't help but think in chronological order. I tried January, December, Sunday, Saturday, Red, and Purple and facepalmed each time yet never learned my lesson.

Very clever and super fun. Negative ten points to the dude who didn't know what president Abraham was.

@Aroll510: although the chronological order of the months is always Jan. to Dec. (at least in the Gregorian calendar), there is no universal agreement as to which is the first (and therefore the last) day of the week. I think that in Europe it's more usual in calendars to show each week as running from Monday to Sunday (this usage is also followed in the ISO week numbering system). The alphabetical order allows no doubts.

I managed to get Abu Dhabi (the least gotten), but couldn't get slightly more simple ones such as Abraham.

@gollob Yes, because clearly S comes before F. :) Great quiz, proud of myself for the abu dhabi, kicking myself for not getting belfast, being from the UK! Nice variety, but i agree a little less USA would have been nicer :)

I totally though 'UK Capitals' was asking for county towns, so I didn't even bother guessing. Turns out it's one of the easiest on here. Oops.
