interesting that my name is the least guessed. i've heard people say it's supposedly a popular name, but i've never considered it so: i've only met, like, two others in my 23 years.

Despite the fact that I know about 17 bajillion Christina/Christine/Cristina/Cristines I managed to not get those. At all. Good job me. Hahaha. Ha. Ha. Fail.

I am shocked there was no Caitlin/Caitlyn/Catelyn/etc. I feel like every other girl I met in the '80s and '90s was named some variation of Caitlin.

I didn't have a clue and had to do the research. Fun to see how they change. Of all those names I think the only one I know currently is a Christina. (I need to get out more.)

Not sure what can be done at this point but the source lists "Catherine" as the #2 name of the 1900s. The overall rankings for the 1900s has Clara at #23, Carrie at #56, Cora at #70, Charlotte at #103, and Caroline at #140 while Catherine ranks at #28. (I thought it seemed very odd that the #2 girls' C-name of the 1890s would disappear from the Top 5 for a whole decade only to return at #1 in the 1910s. Granted, anything's possible but that just seems to defy explanation.)

Easy to understand why Chelsea made the list in the 1990's but shocked that Caroline didn't have a resurgence in the 1960's.

@BamaRainbow: as the quiz creator, can I say thanks for spotting that? I can't believe I didn't notice that before! How embarassing. I can't edit the quiz now it's been published, but I'll see if a sporcle admin can do it for me. Thanks again for spotting the error.

I have a friend named Clara. And her mother and grandmother are both Clara. I missed Clara. *sigh*

My great aunt and uncle both have C names, and their 7 children (5 girls) all have C names, so I was confident going into this quiz... Until none of their names showed up. Apparently they chose to name their children less popular names :(

Charlotte is such a cool name, and for some reason it seems like it fits any female person. Like, if I saw a 18-year old goth girl with dark purple hair and lip piercings and someone told me her name was Sally, I'd think, "Huh, she doesn't really look like a 'Sally' to me." But I can picture the name "Charlotte" belonging to her, as well as to an 80-year-old sweet grandma who likes tea and knitting. Seriously, we've got to bring back that name.
