Great theme... I would suggest changing the ratio of the column widths (more space for clues, less for answers). Also, it's India Arie (not Aire).

Agree with Thalia about Aire/Arie. Also, the headings promise that the quiz will be about names of people. PEOPLE. So, a Siberian Husky does not belong on the quiz; nor does a brand of T shirts. (You may also want to confirm that Paris of Troy was a historical person.)

i'll change the Aire/arie thing, the width, and clarify on Paris. And Eliot, I'm not sure if I want to keep those 2 answers and call the quiz something else, or if I want to replace them with two other people, but I'll think about that, thanks for the help guys!

Well if you want some more people I can think of a few... Tony Orlando, Bob Denver, Rick Springfield, and Irving Berlin are potentials. And if you're worried about using a fictional character, you could put Paris Hilton instead.

Kathy Ireland, Joaquin Phoenix, Wellington Mara, Miguel Cairo, Melissa Manchester, Orlando Bloom, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Jim Rome, Charlotte Church, Grover Cleveland, Florence Nightingale...Just to name a few :)

Thank you cracked.com for giving me Togo! Thanks to you, I can forget about that stuck-up Balto once and for all...

"Woolf" doesn't seem to work on its own.

Panama Jack also makes tropical t-shirts. That was my guess...

It kills me that Hannah Montana got on this quiz instead of Joe Montana. Otherwise, I feel like this has potential, but not enough names. All of NYCub's names should be included. Also, Togo isn't a person, he was a dog (this quiz is "name the people"); nitpicky, I know, but yeah.

who cares if its a dog! and no one knows joe montana so well done on including hannah montana! Also, should add 'a street car named desire' to the playwright clue, because its also very famous and i would have got it from that. Its a good quiz, but very difficult.

living in uk, i didnt recognise half of these. however i think you should put out big stars like orlando bloom, whitney houston, and paris hilton. even though i only know half the states :P

@dodsface: uhh joe montana is one of the greatest and most famous quarterbacks of all time. i know we have alot of non-americans here on sporcle so that might make it tough for them, but it could be balanced out by including someone like michael jordan, who is universally known.

It should accept "Reno" for Janet Reno.

@mrsaturn: I seem to be having a glitch in this quiz where you get the answers for 3 hints if you simply type '.a', i emailed sporcle admins to get help. I'm going to ditch this quiz and make a new one with more names and only people(sorry togo lovers) also, I'm going to do the opposite of everything that dodsface suggested

Nice idea for a quiz! I suspect I'm not alone in missing out on Cuba Gooding Jr for a lack of another example or two of his film work - say Jerry Maguire (and there are already multiple examples of work given for other artists). America Ferrara from Ugly Betty and Jimmy Wales, the Wikipedia founder, might be good additions as well.

i'll expand the answers, and I'm trying hard to not make it too america-centric

ok on not making to too us-centric. But why have a relatively obscure NBA-er like Allan Houston compared to Michael Jordan? Or Joe Montana. Also some glitches include that Gooding and Reno do not work with last name only...
