| Thomsons_yo: I'd agree that Olajuwon won his first title in '94 on his own, including that gruelling 7-game Finals against the Knicks... but you can't downplay Drexler's role in the Rockets' 2nd title in '95. The Glide made the All-NBA Third Team that year, lured major defensive attention away from Hakeem, and averaged over 21ppg, 9rpg, 6apg in the Finals to help sweep the surging Magic 4-0. By the time Barkley arrived in '96, MJ's comeback was in full swing and the Bulls were in the midst of their second three-peat. But I'd also agree that the Pippen-Barkley experiment in '98-99 was a disaster. |
