I haven't actually tested the whole alphabetical order, but it should theoretically work (please let me know if it doesn't). Anyone who can do that, under 10 minutes, and no fixing at the same time gets mad respect from me.

I placed the states in alphabetical order but didn't receive any credit for it. However, there were a couple instances where I pulled out a state, tried to place it, realized I had the wrong one, and put it back (curse you Colorado and Wyoming and your nearly-but-not-quite-identical shapes!). Is that supposed to be disqualifying me from the alphabetical code?

As long as it doesn't snap in, it should be fine. I'll actually confirm it myself and find out if there is a problem.

Outstanding game. Way easier than Africa, but probably because I don't live in Africa. Can't wait to see the rest of the world.

Yet another more reason to be upset at my teachers for never teaching me an alphabetical US States song growing up.

I guess I never paid attention to how tilted all the states are until I tried to do it in alphabetical order and couldn't get alabama to work. Damn curvature of the earth, I wish Copernicus never discovered you.

This is just as brilliant as the African one, although I do think it´s a bit easier (even though I am not an American). Because of this the alphabetical bonus might be a nice touch, but I haven't dared to try that yet. Keep them coming!

I just did the whole thing in alphabetical order and didn't get credit for it. I'm positive the order was correct.

The culprit was a missing comma... It should really work this time! I do appreciate all of the people who are attempting it in order and not hating me for it not working yet.

Tested the entire thing, which worked, and reuploaded it just in case it didn't stick before. Really hope it works this time.

Sorry to be that guy, but how exactly does this work? I get 5 or whatever, I type in the code, and then the time runs out and I only get credit for 5 states. I'm assuming that people aren't getting all 50 states under one minute.

You are supposed to finish as much as possible from the flash thing, and when you are completely done, enter in the 1-3 codes that you get. I will try to make this a bit clearer in the directions.

I think the important thing to make clear in the instructions is that you don't "click start to begin" before you begin.
There's a lot of quizzes on here (audio quizzes, slideshow quizzes, etc.) where you click start, then start solving the puzzle and entering answers/codes as you go. Here if you click the start button at the beginning, you've pretty much made it impossible for yourself.

Wow, so tough. Well done on the execution. Just like Africa, the little ones are the hardest to fit (NH, VT, MD, DE)

This is far too exacting: Dozens of times the state has been in the exact right space, but a hairsbreadth too large or small. Not giving it under those circumstances is insane.

Also...does anybody else wish the government would carve just a little notch out of Wyoming or Colorado so they can more easily be told apart when not in place on a map? lol

Brilliant, brilliant quizzes — not just great fun once, but lots of replay value. Definitely destined for the classics shelf. One wording suggestion: when I first played, I thought that “rotation/size fixing” meant making
any
change to rotation/size after you’ve moved it on to the board and let go; and it seems like other people are also getting confused over what it means too. Perhaps calling it “auto-fixing” or similar would be clearer?

This was so much harder than the Africa one, I found. Too many US states are just rectangles that have more or less the same shape.

If you don't know your states alphabetically, I suggest you arrange them below the map by first letter, then put them in place from there. With practice you'll get fast enough to get under 10, but it's significantly harder than non-alphabetical. You can't start with the distinctive outside states and work in to the rectangles. Sizing, rotating and placing Arkansas and Colorado without much to guide you is difficult.

@Tommy_C: Before I can arrange them by letter, I may want to learn which state is which....I know it's sad....I've lived in America my whole life.....

Another brilliant 5/5 game. Can't imagine how much work this took! One thing: I didn't use either "fix" but got messages after both "Under 20 min rot fix" and "Under 20 min size fix". I guess the "rankings" just have to fill in order?
