	Welcome to Sporcle Minesweeper! Major tobley here, reporting for duty. Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to clear this field of mines before our enemies close in on us. You will designate each spot on the 6x12 grid as either containing a mine or being empty. To do this, type the position (such as D4) and then the state (either empty or mine). For each empty space you uncover, you will be given information on how many mines are adjacent to that space, including diagonally adjacent mines (so each empty space can be next to a total of 8 mines). Our intel shows that D4 is safe, so start there. We also know that there are exactly 21 mines in the field (this will matter!). They have also employed an expert cryptographer to distribute the mines, so we know that guessing is not required to clear the field. Since we need time to clear each mine, any mistake will cost us this battle, so be careful. Good luck! Note: I see @puckett86 already did a similar quiz, but hopefully mine is different enough...

	Very difficult. Good work! I thought a few squares required guesswork (even AFTER I correctly solved the quiz), until I realized that the other possibility for those squares would require the grid to have 22 mines, not 21 as stated in the instructions. Tricky indeed.

	Good quiz. Just to improve the readability, you might consider putting something more blank in the place of the "✓ 0 NEAR" spots. Maybe it could be something like just the "✓" or "✓ 0."

	@Gjarble I had trouble with it even after making the quiz, and I had to go through at least 6 combinations of mines to find one that was possible. @AdmiralMaxtreme Yeah, I mostly just wanted to use a character to prevent people from trying to enter the placeholders as their answer (though I do punish those who do). Just for consistency, I like keeping the "NEAR" for the zero spaces (and I would actually have to change a lot of the bonus answers the way things are set up).

	On the one hand, it's a clever implementation using the new feature. On the other hand...it's Minesweeper.

	@Pulviriza: Because Windows Minesweeper is at least partially guesswork. With this puzzle, if you start with D4, you can determine with 100% certainty the squares that have the 21 mines. Logic, not guesswork.

	There was an OS/2version 3D Minesweeper that generated only solvable games. Pretty sure the author did a Windows version as well.

	Lovely game, I especially liked how it was logically solvable with that extra piece of information.
