Wow, this was damned hard. I work with these elements every day and I BARELY finished. It might need a few more minutes for non-chemists to have a chance. It was fun but a race.

Great challenge, nicely done... but Rutherfordium has 13 letters, not 12.

Great quiz tobley but, what about Ununtrium, Ununquadium, Ununpentium, Ununhexium, Ununseptium and Ununoctium? Also if I'm not mistaken Darmstadtium was first given the temporary name Ununnilium, Copernicium was called Ununbium and Roentgenium was called Unununium.

@WackyZacky It is usually the standard to not use those names on quizzes since they are just placeholders until the IUPAC agrees on a real name. Furthermore, their names aren't particularly interesting, basically just being 113-ium, 114-ium, and so on.

Should I feel guilty about claiming credit both for aluminum and aluminium?

@kcostell Haha, yeah, just so I would not upset my friends across the pond, I do accept aluminium, sulphur, and caesium, but since each have an extra letter, they are not exactly alternates. Surprisingly, both groups can use whatever set of spellings they want and still finish the quiz.

I like how Scandium, Titanium and Vanadium are all in a row. Very convenient.

In true Sporclitis, the last one I got, just 5 seconds before time ran out... was silicon.

I always feel so cheap when I already have Cesium and Aluminum then use Caesium and Aluminium as well

Didn't think of that, but I did use sulfur and sulphur. I'm so ashamed.

Sporclitis: When praseodymium and seaborgium come to you easily, but you can't get hydrogen until the last 15 seconds.
