| So, assuming you see a thing with letters above the Sporcle (and if you do not, then you are probably missing a flash plugin or playing on a mobile device), you are given 13 different boards on which you place any or all of the 7 letters below to make words. You get points based on the words that you make, where point values are given in the lower right hand corner of the tiles (based of of letter frequency, blanks get no points). When placing a word, you need to connect off of one of the existing words, and you need to place tiles all in the same column or row with no intervening blank spaces (though there can be intervening already existing tiles). After placing the tiles, any 2 or more letter words that can be made off of the tiles placed are checked to make sure they are in the dictionary and awarded points based on the tiles themselves and squares that have multipliers (see first comment). After the 13 boards, you get a code that you enter into the sporcle just to submit your score. |
