| what about dispell for di...ll |
 | tobley: | Jul 19th, 2010 at 22:21 GMT | | 4 points |
| Dispell is not in any dictionary that I have found. Dispel could be the word you are thinking of. |

| Yellowy? Are you serious? |
 | tobley: | Aug 4th, 2010 at 17:00 GMT | | 9 points |
| Yes. Yes I am. |
 | Thalia: | Aug 7th, 2010 at 16:33 GMT | | 2 points |
| Great quiz... It's interesting how much harder I found this one than the 6-letter version. |
 | Teratic: | Aug 7th, 2010 at 23:56 GMT | | 3 points |
| For some reason, I kept thinking "actimony" for the A word, despite the incorrect length AND incorrect last two letters. :( |

| Superb selection of words: great quiz! |

| thanks for the quiz! i love your quizzes. |

| "co...ur" could also be 'co-occur' (if you don't count the hyphen) or 'coöccur' (if you're The New Yorker) or 'cooccur' (if you eschew both the hyphen and the diaeresis, as some do). |
 | tobley: | Aug 29th, 2010 at 20:08 GMT | | 2 points |
| @Q_Pheevr I do see some evidence of people using it without the dash, so I will add it as an alternative. @Thalia, Teratic, WyvernSabres, Frozenleaf- Thanks! |

| It's refreshing to play a quiz where vampire comes in last! |

| I won't complain about junglebee not working but why didn't 'patrol' work? (ps agree with golden about vampire being last!) |
 | alexhaz64: | Sep 2nd, 2010 at 09:52 GMT | | 4 points |
| @pegcle: because 'patrol' is only six letters. This quiz is for seven letters. (I figured that out after 'concur' didn't work.) |

| Great quiz, makes you think about words. Would only have one issue, with yellowy, surely the word it yellowish? |
 | MorningBell411: | Sep 2nd, 2010 at 10:55 GMT | | 7 points |
| @Yvonne_india: "London calling, see we ain't got no highs/Except for that one with the yellowy eyes" - from The Clash's London Calling. See, it exists. I know songs aren't always the best pieces of evidence but it seems pretty solid to me. |
 | Ignis_Umbrae: | Sep 2nd, 2010 at 11:34 GMT | | 6 points |
| @Yvonne_india: the OED defines "yellowy" as "Having a yellow tinge; yellowish.", attested in use as early as 1667. It's just a little rarer than "yellowish". |

| Its funny how you can get words from only a few letters... when I first saw the quiz I thought there'd be no way I'd one or two but I got almost half:] |
 | artofthestate: | Sep 2nd, 2010 at 16:28 GMT | | 1 point |
| did ok, but the strange thing was when I got vampire, it seemed the hardest. anyone else find they know vaguely how the percentages will work out despite no question being noticeably harder than another? |
