	From 1990 to 1993 I don't think I missed a single game. I was hooked on baseball during those years. I could name probably almost any player. I loved watching Sunday Night Baseball on ESPN as well. The strike of '94 did take me away from baseball I must admit and I haven't really come back, although I am following the Jays again a little more closely.

	Omnipotent: I'll second that almost to a tee. I was 6 when I began watching the Jays in 1990, which I did religiously until the strike of 1994. I maintained a casual interest at best from that point on; the NHL lockout meant no playoffs in the spring of 2005, and I got right back into the Jays. Hopefully your interest rekindles, because they're going to be awfully good in about two seasons.

	@Morby: I have to disagree. I mean I'm always going to watch sports because that's just what I do. But if these guys were able to say goodbye to baseball because of the strike, good for them. There's no excuse for not having a postseason. That showed a lot of people that the players really didn't care that much about winning and losing. Good for those people who have stayed away. It's too big a part of my life for me to do it, but good for them.

	pretty convenient to say the '94 strike ended your passion for the Blue Jays and for baseball. Its not hard to root for a team that wins back to back championships (1992 and 1993). It shows your true fandom that you stopped rooting for them when they stopped contending.

	@Murf the same people who use the strike excuse continue to watch hockey and other sports. Since '94 there have been 2 NHL work stoppages and at least one NBA and NFL stoppage and no MLB stoppages. Let's face it, most Toronto folk will only watch what is hip, which for some gay reason is always the Leafs no matter how bad they are.

	@Morby: Yeah, I hear you. I'm a loyal fan of all the Atlanta teams and I get really annoyed when people talk about how they never came back after the strike. But there's a part of me that is annoyed that the sports leagues can screw over all the fans without ever paying for it. And remember, we're talking about millionaires fighting with billionaires here. Also, I'm not saying specifically baseball. I definitely am all for someone who was a hockey fan but then said screw them after they missed an entire season. I'm sorry but both of those situations were inexcusable and for a lot of people it made them say, "why should I care if they don't care?"

	Lol @ Bautista leading off in 2010, that didn't last. And thank god Yunel Escobar is around cuz SS has been a nightmare since 1993 with Tony Fernandez (who didn't start opening day). Alex Gonzalez was cover your eyes awful, and everyone after him was worse... Go Jays!!!

	My wife and I saw a World Series game in 92 and 93. Great games ... the phantom triple play in '92 and Joe Carter's Series winning homer in '93. Even then, I couldn't remember all the starters for those 2 teams.
