| The Leafs have still won more cups in the NHL era than Tampa Bay, Hartford/Carolina, Atlanta/Calgary, Anaheim, Philadelphia, Quebec/Colorado, Pittsburgh, Columbus, St. Louis, Ottawa (current), Minnesota (Wild), Atlanta (Thrashers), Florida, Los Angeles, Buffalo, Washington, Vancouver, Nashville, San Jose, Winnipeg/Phoenix, California/Oakland/Cleveland/Minnesota/Dallas, the current New Jersey Devils franchise as the Kansas City Scouts and Colorado Rockies and 6 other defunct franchises *combined* however, and more than any other team except the Canadiens (and as many as half of the Original Six - the Rangers, Blackhawks and Bruins - combined). 1967 is the last year before expansion, not just the last year the Leafs won the Cup. |
