If you look at the list, Jimmy Neutron is nowhere to be found. It was substituted in this quiz for Beavis & Butthead (which I typed in about 30 different ways before finally giving up).

Wow...that was incredibly hard, but in a good way. A lot of shows I just couldn't come up with but when I saw them later was like oh yeah. Surprised at some not there for sure though.

All in all, this is a pretty good list. Wide World of Sports ought to be enough for ABC's Wide World of Sports. My choice for overlooked show: Chappelle's Show.

My reasoning for the X-Files being listed as a NEWS program: Sporcle is subtly trying to tell us that they believe, and that the truth is out there. DoodoodoodooDOOdooooo....

Got X Files, but was disturbed to see it as News. Also I thought Jimmy Neutron definitely didn't deserve to be here, and the fellow above was correct as it is not on the list... hmm.

along the lines of what randallpinkston said, if "pee wee herman" is accepted, then "wide world of sports" or at least "abc wide world of sports" should be accepted.

I agree with the Jeopardy's and the CSI's. I was kinda hoping House would be on here, but maybe that's just cuz it's MY favotie, haha. I only got Gilmore Girls cuz that's what I'm watching right now... I wouldn't have suspected it otherwise...

@Jaspa: MTV is seen by many as responsible for bringing cable television into the mainstream by offering niche markets, 24 hour air play and the legendary "I want my MTV" marketing strategy. At the time, however, there was no actual programming. Just music videos, commercials, and VJ bumpers around the clock, much like a radio station. As such, no program can be credited because no program existed; just a network.

Buffalo Bill? really? It wasn't that good. [I got Soap just because I saw the word soap for type of show.] [ I think it is time that LOST be considered science-fiction.] [Which incarnation of Battlestar Galactica is that?] [What makes General Hospital better than any other soap? The weather machine?]

@jaspa: MTV was groundbreaking - and great - in its early years. It hasn't been good since at least 1992, but the list acknowledged that.
