| @Jaspa: MTV is seen by many as responsible for bringing cable television into the mainstream by offering niche markets, 24 hour air play and the legendary "I want my MTV" marketing strategy. At the time, however, there was no actual programming. Just music videos, commercials, and VJ bumpers around the clock, much like a radio station. As such, no program can be credited because no program existed; just a network. |
