| I second the "Abita" comment as well as bsd987's comment; I'm sure those states have some more local beers and less international conglomerate-y ones. For Indiana, a state not really famous for beer, go with "Alpha King" from Three Floyds. That is their most famous beer (I'm from there, I know). "Backroad" is so generic; I bet a lot of breweries have a beer named that. "Polygamy Porter" is a funnier and more famous beer from Utah. As a Coloradoan and a beer enthusiast, I'm a bit ticked that everybody just goes to Coors to represent the state. C'mon, people! There is a reason we host the Great American Beer Fest; we have TONS of breweries! Famous ones, too (New Belgium, Odells, Breckenridge, Great Divide...). Literally, more than a hundred just in Colorado. |
