| It might help to be more specific about what you mean by "bombed" - actual aerial bombardment, or just "attacked"? Lebanon was actually shelled by the Navy in 1958 as well, and while we certainly supported terrible state or rebel atrocities in (for example) Latin America, we (meaning the United States military) haven't aerially bombed any of these countries since WWII, though the CIA did use non-Air Force planes to bomb Guatemala during the coup in 1954. Also, unless it was exceptionally covert, we did not bomb Iran in 1998. Clarification would help... |
