| Some minor corrections: "grasa" (e.g. for machines) is a closer translation of "grease" than "vaselina" (more usual in cosmetics, etc.) "A little night music" (at least that by Mozart, I don't know about the musical) is known as "Pequeña música nocturna". It should be "El vigésimo quinto concurso anual de deletreo del condado de Putnam". The given translation sounds totally strange. There's no universal agreement about when to stop using ordinal numbers and continue with cardinals (e.g. for monarchs it's usual up to 10, so Henry VIII is "Enrique Octavo" but Louis XIV is "Luis Catorce"), but for streets cardinals are more common, especially with higher numbers, so it's simply "Calle cuarenta y dos". Although "Pacífico del Sur" is good Spanish, you will hear more often "Pacífico Sur". Of course, these are details. It's like this comment: I hope it's good English, but I suppose everybody will notice that it was written by a non-native speaker. |
