Can you name the New England Metropolitan Statistical Areas?
created by
theologystudent
Enter a Metro Area in the box below
Correctly named Metro Areas will show up below
Answers do not have to be guessed in order
Source:
US Census Bureau - 2009 MSA Population Estimates
Micropolitan Statistical Areas with more than 100,000 people are listed as bonuses. Please note that MSAs, not CMSAs, listed - so smaller components of a CMSA (e.g., NYC) are listed as their own MSA.

Why is Augusta a bonus answer if it has more people than Lewiston-Auburn?

Augusta is a micropolitan, not a metropolitan area according to the Census Bureau. A micropolitan area like Augusta has a core urban area population of less than 50,000, but may have a much larger population outside of the core urban area. Lewiston-Auburn has an urban core of more than 50,000, but fewer people in the surrounding non-urban area.
