Very good! I had a quiz that was specifically "Triple Titles" (and not exclusively #1 songs) but it went straight to the administrators and has never published. So there's no chance you saw it. Not sure how many Tex Williams fans are left out there either. Nonetheless I'm made it an Editor's Choice.
And I'm still surprised "Tzensa, Tzensa, Tzensa" didn't make it. How about "Que Sera Sera"?

"Exhale" by itself does not work

Thank you rockgolf... "Tzena, Tzena, Tzena" hit number two (the A-side "Goodnight Irene" was a #1) and "Que Sera Sera" also hit number two (but went to #1 in other countries)... and @zwitt, "Exhale," by itself, doesn't really fit in with the nature of this quiz (but I'll change it anyway)

I could have sworn Exhale (Shoop Shoop) was by Lauryn Hill..

I haven't even taken this quiz yet and I'm giving you 5/5 just because I love stutter songs. I have an entire playlist of them on my iPod.

Aw, I should have taken the quiz before I got all excited. These aren't the kind of stutters I like. Still liked the quiz, though, so the 5/5 stands.

I think you should specify that these are song titles in which the repeated words are consecutive - otherwise songs like Perry Como's "Round and Round" and Johnny Mathis' "Too Much Too Little Too Late" should also be included.

I love any quiz that references "Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye", which- for my money, and of course, this is nothing but personal preference- is one of the best songs of the rock era, and perhaps the best pop song ever written.

I'd sure prefer to see Cold, Cold Heart attributed to its writer (who also had a hit with it)... Hank Williams. Very solid, challenging quiz, though.

I want a quiz that is actually about songs with stuttering (e.g. "My Generation"). This is more about stammering. Still really fun.

Keep in mind, thehotstepper's qualification was that the songs had to be #1 on Billboard. Louie Louie was a #2 hit, and Hank Williams' version of Cold Cold Heart was a hit on the country charts, but not the pop charts.

@rockgolf: I should point out that there was no such thing as the Hot 100 until 1958, so none of the first 7 songs hit #1 "on the Hot 100." There were a variety of music charts used before 1958, especially for pop music, and the songs listed before 1958 did reach #1 on the "Best-Sellers" chart.
@barnzstormre: Destiny's Child didn't hit #1 on the Hot 100 with "Jumpin', Jumpin'"--it peaked at #3. It did, however, reach #1 on the R&B chart in 2000 (as did "No, No, No" in 1998).

Didn't Motley Crue have a song called "Girls, Girls, Girls" that was a hit? Liz Phair had a song of the same name that wasn't. But I don't think it was ever released as a single.

"Mony, Mony" by Billy Idol..."I Do I Do I Do I Do I Do" by Abba? And I think you should accept "Shoop Shoop" for the Whitney Houston song.

There's definitely enough non-#1s for a sequel! But Louie Louie was number 1, right?

@kmad: You're right. It should be there.
@bama: I've adjusted the quiz title. Believe me, I know when the Hot 100 began. And I can confirm your Lombardo addition too.
@Juviejay: The Motley Crue song didn't go to #1.
@mySpoon: Nope, "Louie Louie" was held out from #1 by Bobby Vinton's "There! I've Said It Again".
@eric7272: The Billy Idol song should certainly be on the list.
@elanis: Erm, nope. The right title is on display.
@orangehawk: Yup, another correct answer for sure!

@BamaRainbow: all songs listed as #1 prior to the official creation of the Hot 100 chart are from the "Best Sellers In Stores" chart (the "true test of a record's popularity"), which is the spiritual predecessor of the Top 100 (introduced 11/12/55) which became the Hot 100 on 8/4/58.

@rockgolf: to prove I'm not *completely* clueless, as the four misses may or may not make me seem, it should be noted that Bing Crosby & Les Paul also had a #1 with the same song Harry James did in 1945 (it was literally a week later). I actually skipped that one on purpose, to avoid the redundancy. The fact I missed Vanilla Ice will keep me awake at night.

Sporcle needs to vet these quizzes before posting them. Are you trying to set a "mistakes" record?

i find the fact that very few people have gotten vanilla ice very strange. it wasn't that long ago, and it was a massive hit. it is also the only song of his that could've even come close to #1. maybe the average sporcler is younger than i thought.

or, AHK, your average sporcle user-generated quiz maker (me) is dumber than you thought and forgot to include said song originally.

ABBA(ya gotta love'em for it) could have a stutter quiz all to themselves: Gimme, Gimme, Gimme (A Man After Midnught), Knowing Me, Knowing You; Honey,Honey; Money, Money, Money; Ring Ring; Dum,Dum Diddle; Anither town, Another train, and __oh yes, On and On and On.....

I was really expecting stutter songs, like Su-su-sudio.
