| Now we are in a great civil war, testing whether nation, or any nation so and so dedicated, long endure. We are met on a battle field of war. We have to dedicate a portion of it, as a final resting place for who died that the live. This we may, in propriety do. But, in a larger sense, we dedicate -- we can not consecrate -- we not hallow, this -- The brave men, and who struggled have hallowed it, far our poor power to add or detract. The world little long what we here; while it can never what they did here. |
