I liked it even though I had a complete brain freeze on 'Page' I kept thinking place or face or space and then trying to come up with words that rhymed with them all to no avail. Now I have to watch an episode or two and hope that they're ones without the Great Gazoo.

I am horrified that I got a perfect score on the first try. Why can't the stuff I learned in high school stick with me that well?

I was also somewhat saddened by how well that song has stuck in my head. However, I do think we could benefit from footpowered cars: no high gas prices, no emissions, other than sweat!

I guess when you watch a show and hear the theme song about 30,000 times as a child, it sticks with you. Does anyone else not remember them saying "you'll have a yabba-dabba-doo time" in the theme song? I'm thinking of the song in my head and don't recall them saying the word "you'll".

"One day, maybe Fred'll win the fight and the cat will stay out for the night." I'm sure that was a lyric. Maybe it was added later, or I'm just crazy. Excellent quiz!

@Sam I believe those were from the closing credits, where the quiz was for the opening credits

I always assumed that I'd misheard 'yabba dabba doo time', and that those couldn't possibly be the actual words. 17 years of uncomfortable silence during that theme tune have gone to waste...

Simpson, Homer Simpson, he's the greatest guy in history. From the town of Springfield, he's about to hit a chestnut tree. D'oh! Sadly that did not help me with the quiz and I failed. ^_^

@bray: I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that! I have no idea why I remember almost every theme song for the cartoons from my childhood. If only I had been listening to French language tapes or memorizing algebraic formulas instead!

If you want a Jetson's quiz you might as well do the characters, like they have for South Park, Simpsons, etc. It is basically the same thing as the theme song.

I screwed this one up bad... I learned the days of the week in French to the tune of this song, try it, it works surprisingly well with the tune. Lundi, Mardi, Mercredi, Jeudi, Vandredi, Samedi, Dimanche, Le sept jours de la semaine. I had to check the spelling on all of those. That is about all the French I've ever learned and it ruined my enjoyment of the Flintstones theme song.

Has any word or meaning disappeared from use as abruptly as the use of the term "gay" as an adjective meaning "happy or gleeful?" You could take the most mundane comment or quote possible and if it includes that usage you would know immediately that it's at least pre-1980's and probably pre-1970's. I'd actually like to see someone do some research on the topic and figure out exactly when and how quickly it died away. I'd also like to know when the last recorded usage in pop culture was. It's possible that the Flintstones is the last one or was at least the last one regularly shown on TV.
