	Getting over 100 would be pretty incredible. I lived in Texas for 18 years and got 61, mostly by remembering famous Texans and high schools we played football and basketball against.

	I had to memorize all 29 counties of Utah (and their county seats!) in one of my junior high classes. I'm guessing they don't subject their kids to that kind of treatment in Texas.

	I taught myself this a while back mainly to see if I could. I included the county seats as well when I learned them. I've lived/traveled/worked in a lot of different parts of Texas so I had a pretty good basis for starting out. I got them all with about a minute to spare including a phone call in the middle of the quiz slowing me down. I have a buddy that claims to know every high school's mascot in the state. I've never seen him be wrong.

	I can pretty much guarantee you that if you got George W. Bush and Rick Perry to work together on this quiz, they wouldn't get all of them (though I guess that doesn't say all that much).

	I entered the next-to-last one as a joke and I was correct. 61/254 is not bad for someone who has never lived in Texas.

	I admit to cheating and looking at a map while doing this. I was ashamed to do so, so I'll pay you all back with a tip: almost every river in Texas has a county named for it. Also try dead white guys, either US presidents or Confederate generals. I got 48 counties, all tainted with shame.

	ha - Houston County and Austin County being 2 and 3. I know another poster mentioned it already, but Houston is in Harris County; Austin is in Travis County.

	73 and fairly proud of that... not too shabby for a non-Texan. I work with county maps way too often. Great quiz if you must learn these- which I guess would be a form of hazing.

	62 on the first try...and that's a native Texan. I had to think back to watching weather warning crawls on TV here in DFW for a lot of them. Driving back and forth to Lubbock helped to learn some obscure ones, and you never forget getting a speeding ticket in Taylor County.

	I laughed hysterically to see that Austin County was the third most guessed. I lived in Austin County for 8 years. When I lived there, there were really only three towns of any size (over 1,000 people) - none of which was over 4,000 in population (I think the largest town has gotten up to about 6,000 now).

	67/254. Yes, I'm a Texas native who has spent way too much time driving across the state. And I'll never forget the name of a certain county after getting into an argument with the crooked sheriff that pulled me over.

	Native Texan here, got 157 out of 254 and missed about 10-20 more than I should have. I spent waaaay too many hours driving across sparsely-populated West Texas, where oftentimes the only road sign for miles is the "county line" sign.
