	Hong Kong is a special administrative region. Its not a country but it's not China at the same time. When the U.K. agreed to handover Hong Kong to China, China had to keep Hong Kong as the British left it. Democratic. The same thing can be said for Macau, another special administrative region in China except that Macau is a Portuguese colony.

	Based on their criteria, this seems like more of a "Best Places to Live" list. Obviously that's not unrelated to prosperity, but it just seems strange for them to label this list "Most Prosperous".

	@Hercules: I think (and I may be wrong) that Hong Kong is officially a part of China according to the Chinese government. Even though it is run very much separately from the rest of China. Really it's kind of arbitrary whether a place like that is considered a "special" region of a country, or whether it's considered an external territory. I mean in reality the relationship between China and Hong Kong isn't that different from the relationship between the UK and say the Isle of Mann, except the Isle of Mann is not officially part of the UK.

	Well wtv, felt like an opportunity to make a quiz. And btw, a NATION isnt necessarily a COUNTRY, thus probably why they have it on their list. If guy have the opportunity to take an introductory politics course in the future, you'll learn the difference between the two.

	ok, the source is bull. I know MSN is legit, but their conditions for prosperity aren't based on GDP or GNP but "economic fundamentals, entrepreneurship and innovation, democratic institutions, education, health, safety & security, governance, personal freedom, [and] social capital," but with no explanation of how they're measuring each of these. i call bull.

	Well the original answer was Hong Kong with China in Parentheses but smartass antlyon felt like making a point on something i already knew so i removed it and changed the mistake i originally made: country to nation (i probably wrote country because country was the example given when making quizzes)

	singapore and liechtenstein should be on there, so is luxembourg, qatar, kuwait, bahrain. these are much wealthier than slovenia or even the USA.

	I need a source on this. How in the world is Ireland above the UK? I've been to both. Everyone knows (unless it's an urban legend, which I doubt) that Ireland is the "only second world country in Europe." It's kind of dumpy (Dublin, at least) compared to the UK. I don't get it.
