	@Chocolatl: No, but "Dominica " and "Guinea " are. Unfortunately, there's no way to enforce that in Sporcle because white space is stripped out of entry and answer prior to matching.

	I have a few issues. 1) Fe is a little bit mean, since youre not using other countries full names. 2) The abbreviations. For some of the multi word ones, you accept just the first word "marshall", "Solomon" , "Bosnia" "Sierra", "Dominican", "Equatorial" even just "El", but not for others. "Burkina" doesnt work, you want BF, "Vatican" isnt enough. Some you want the initials (BF) but not for Equatorial Guinea. Very inconsistent, and kind of a pain.

	@y2jdilemma: "Vatican" and "Micronesia" were missing and have been added as accepted alternatives. The Sporcle-published "Countries of Oceania" quiz, which has been played 872,404 times, displays the "Federated States of Micronesia." My cited source, the CIA World Factbook, lists the name of the country as "Federated States of Micronesia," states that there is no short form name, but does provide the abbreviation FSM (which this quiz accepts). Google "Micronesia wiki" and you will be taken to the Wikipedia page for the region of Micronesia rather than the country. Look at the Wikipedia article for Federated States of Micronesia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federated_States_of_Micronesia) and you'll see that nowhere is it referred to as just Micronesia. It is always either Federated States of Micronesia or it is abbreviated as FSM. The reason the short-form Micronesia is not used is that the term "Micronesia" refers to a region in Oceania containing FSM but also several other countries: Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Nauru, and Palau. Displaying Micronesia for FSM is a little like displaying America for the United States. My intention is to accept unique acronyms for all multi-word country names as long as they do not have ambiguity problems. Here are the ambiguity problems for the ones you mention: Marshall Islands (MI interferes with MIcronesia) Solomon Islands (SI interferes with SIngapore) Bosnia and Herzegovina (BH interferes with BHutan) Sierra Leone (SL interferes with SLovakia, SLovenia, and Sri Lanka) Dominican Republic (DR interferes with DRC) Equatorial Guinea (EG interferes with EGypt) El Salvador (ES interferes with EStonia) As mentioned in the game note, the entire mult-word abbreviation scheme is discussed in detail at: http://www.sporcle.com/games/tahitiwahini/common_country_name_alternatives You can play the quiz without knowing or using any of the abbreviations. 	Vatican has been added as an accepted abbreviation for "Vatican City." Micronesia was already an accepted abbreviation for "Federated States of Micronesia."

	Displayed name may not be the best thing. Micronesia is the common name, the one used by almost everyone in comments etc.

	@koipen: which is why Micronesia is accepted as an abbreviation. But instructions for the quiz specify: "The country names used are those that are commonly displayed in Sporcle quizzes." So I am actually looking for the displayed name. That's why the "starts with" hint is: UnitedK rather than UK, UnitedS rather than US, Dem rather than DRC, and Ce rather than CAR. There's absolutely nothing wrong with referring to FSM as Micronesia informally, but when it came to creating this quiz I decided to use the country name that is commonly displayed in Sporcle quizzes. Players should be familiar with seeing Federated States of Micronesia, because that's how it's typically displayed in Sporcle quizzes. This quiz is about showing what part of a country's commonly displayed Sporcle name is necessary to uniquely identify that country. If I used the Micronesia abbreviation for FSM then I could also have used UK, US, DRC, and CAR. In other words, it would have been a different quiz.

There are abbreviations for almost every multi-word country name (except for South Africa and St Lucia).
