	botswana borders zambia for about 100 yards, but otherwise really good quiz

	@holymoly: You are correct, even though what you say disagrees with my source, the CIA Factbook 2010. There is a very short but definite border between Botswana and Zambia of about 50 meters. You can see the border in Google Maps. Because the map is zoomed in so far I will describe what you're seeing. You are looking at the Zambezi River over which are superimposed the borders of four countries. To the upper right (Northeast) is Zambia. Continuing clockwise around the center of the screen you have: Zimbabwe (Southeast), Botswana (Southwest), and Namibia (Northwest). As you can see Zambia and Botswana share a very small border, while Namibia and Zimbabwe do not. http://bit.ly/gRis9w Here is an article about the Kazungula Ferry between Zambia and Botswana, which discusses plans to build a bridge across this border: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kazungula_Ferry Thank you very much for catching this omission, I will update the quiz accordingly.

	As you included Gibraltar as a bonus for Spain in the other quiz, how about Netherlands (Saint Martin) as a bonus for France here?

	@FreakyFlyBry: yeah, why not? Added the bonus you suggested. Saint-Martin is an overseas collectivity of France and Sint Maarten is a constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and they share a border on the same Caribbean island. While I don't think either is necessarily an integral part of their respective countries, I think it makes a nice bonus answer.

	Good quiz! I had a very brain dead moment when I typed 'car' for Central African Republic, and thought 'why won't it accept it!!!', before realising that CAR does not border itself. Haha! :p

That's 155 countries; from Russia to Vatican City. Each of the sixteen quizzes contains an average of 12 subject countries, 52 bordering countries, and a time limit of 5 minutes. 	REVISED Multi-Word Abbreviations: the rules for the multi-word abbreviations are very simple: use the first letter of each word in the common Sporcle name of the country to compose the acronym. Omit insignificant words: "and", "of", and "the". There are ten exceptions to this rule: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, El Salvaldor, Marshall Islands, Saudi Arabia, Solomon Islands, Sierra Leone, and Sri Lanka. 	Hope you are enjoying the Border Country Marathon! If you want to tackle an even bigger challenge check out the Border Country Biathlon which is similar to the marathon except that both bordering countries and bodies of water are included. I was able to structure the biathlon such that there are no repeats of subject countries in the whole quiz series, something I was not able to achieve in the marathon. 	I tried the Netherlands for a border with France and it was a bonus (Saint-Martin with Sint Maarten). I totally wasn't expecting that -- I just thought the Dutch mainland had a border with the French mainland.
