| thank you, steelhere and legend. like i said, keeping up to date on who is currently active was the toughest part of putting this together. i have removed grudzielanek, who officially retired, as well as mark mulder, who has somewhat unofficially retired due to a complete lack of interest in his services. delgado has not retired yet, and because he had a contract with the red sox last year, i won't take him off just yet, although he might have to be yanked from the list in the upcoming weeks if he doesn't catch on anywhere or if he actually announces his retirement. i have also removed armando benitez, per your suggestion, even though i suppose he is technically active. if i'm going to include guys who are either bouncing around the minors or who seem destined to never announce their retirement, somebody is bound to argue that rickey henderson should be on the list, too, as i'm sure he is still claiming he can help a major league team and would happily play if offered a deal. |
