Great quiz. The only one I missed was Tony Banks And for good reason.

I'm shocked at how late in the draft some of these were taken to be the first pick. Chandler going at 76! There must have been some bad classes for QBs those years.

The fact chandler was the top QB in the draft tells you all you need to know about that year's QB crop.

The Chandler pick is a little fuzzy, as Tom Tupa was taken 8 picks ahead of Chandler. Tupa punted only six times total in his first five years in the league, and was almost exclusively a QB during that period, starting 13 total games at that position. He was out of the NFL for a year, and then made a comeback as a punter in 1993.

Yeah, I love the quiz, but what about 2010?

Also, I love Tom Tupa- he's the last throwback to the old-school QB/kickers like George Blanda, AND he scored the first two-point conversion in NFL history!

Just added Bradford. Funny how I created the quiz last year and it just now became popular.

Thanks Theron, I made Tupa a correct answer for 1988.

Bradford 17%?? Druckenmiller = Where are they now? I completely forgot about him. I don't remember Dan McGwire, I was sure it was Rick Mirer. I guess Mirer was a year later?? Great quiz.

Mirer was drafted 2nd after Bledsoe in 1993. Still can't stand him because he was a waste of not only the Seahawks pick but my Bears #1 a couple years later.

Dan McGwire (Mark's cousin btw) was a tremendous failure. He was 6'9" (tallest quarterback in NFL history) and I remember anything he threw either short or medium range made him essentially throw the ball down towards the receiver. He was about as mobile as the goal post too.

Actually, Dan McGwire was Mark's brother. It was astonishing how quickly he fell out of favor. (For good reason.)

More than twice as many people got JaMarcus Russell as got Bradford? Sporcle shows once again how irrelevant the people find my favorite sports teams to be.

bradford was only drafted this year, so perhaps not many people know about him. russell, on the other hand, was immensely recgnized... for being a failure

More people got Russell than Bradford in large part because the quiz didn't have 2010 included when it first went up.

I hope Jim Rome is out there somewhere playing this quiz. At least he should be in the small group of people that got Everett.

@Dahabi - I missed Everett because I think of him as a St. Louis Ram; I didn't know he was drafted by the Oilers. I'm guessing that's why a lot of others missed him, too.

The last time I really paid much attention to the NFL was in the early '90s, so it's interesting to take quizzes like this. Testaverde, Esiason, Cunningham, George: no problem. Palmer, Russell, Stafford, Ryan: who?

A great sequel would be the 2nd QB drafted. Cryin Leaf, Rick Mirer, and Tebow!!!

85 should have an asterisk because Bernie Kosar cheated the system or he'd have gone ahead of Randall.

jay, maybe you should watch college football. That's a Heisman winner and three guys who were at various times top Heisman candidates. That's obviously besides their being first overall picks.

@Atlas73 - I just looked up the 1988 draft...what a bizarro draft that was. Not only did a QB not go until the 3rd round, but a kicker and two punters were drafted before him! And strangely, it's not like anyone fell through the cracks. The only other QB I recognize from that whole draft is Stan Humphries.

Count me among the very small handful who got Chandler by typing in Tom Tupa. Thank you, Tecmo Super Bowl.
