Really interesting and peculiar that Bonds hit all these home runs after he was 35...

Once you throw out the steroids users (Bonds, McGwire, Palmeiro) and guys who played in Denver, your list of 24 is down to 13 in 90+ years of post-deadball baseball. Throw out freaks like Ruth and Aaron, and you're down to 7 season, which seems about right (freak event that happens about once every 15 years).

People don't appreciate how truly great a hitter Barry Bonds was. Steroids or not, this guy was a top-10 all time player.

and people never will truly appreciate how great Bonds was because he tainted everything he's ever done with his connection to steroids. he could've gone down as one of the greatest hitters of the modern era with his natural ability alone - and he screwed it all up because of his own stupidity.
