| This is the last in a series of four quizzes, and each one gets progressively harder. Enjoy! |
 | Tahnan: | Aug 4th, 2010 at 17:05 GMT | | 3 points |
| I took the first and found it of only mediocre interest, due to its level of difficulty. This one is *much* more interesting (and, needless to say, much harder!). |
 | sporclover: | Aug 4th, 2010 at 19:05 GMT | | 8 points |
| "osage" fits for #7. "snafu" is an acronym, not a word. |

| I used this word list...should have included it in the source:

| These were really fun! Definitely progressively harder too. I got all of the first two, then in the third one i missed 3 and this one i missed 13. |

| blank F F I blank - won't accept EFFIN as in "this effin quiz is doing my head in" |

| I really like this quiz as per Tahnan above, especially the poignant little sequence: Width, Aging, Obese, Adieu! (...and Visit?!) |

| It's a good quiz IMO when the most guessed and least guessed answers don't even add to 100%. And this quiz does that. Bravo. |

| I really wish snock, bagle, and effin were words... |
 | giveupyet: | Sep 7th, 2010 at 20:16 GMT | | 7 points |
| A lot harder than it looks! Nice job! |
 | RJMurphy: | Sep 7th, 2010 at 20:40 GMT | | 15 points |
| for _ECE_, it is really only the US spelling, the traditional english spelling is different so i didnt get that. V great style quiz though |

| Got 33/34. Darn you, "choir"! |
 | milkmeister: | Sep 7th, 2010 at 21:55 GMT | | 6 points |
| ARRET also fits in for -RRE- it's a decree of a court. I know ERRED is a lot more common word, but still... |
 | Meltha: | Sep 7th, 2010 at 22:08 GMT | | 10 points |
| Apparently Osage won't fit _sag_, but I'm not sure why. |
 | peterpan55: | Sep 7th, 2010 at 22:40 GMT | | 4 points |
| i tried osage also. but "usage" is close enough that I should have thought of that! (hand to face!) |
 | shawnoc: | Sep 7th, 2010 at 23:07 GMT | | 9 points |
| I use "effin" all the time (but I'm from Jersey).
Can we get our own version of this game? ;-) |

| I tried Luxor & Osage as well, but got the correct ones also. Fun quiz. |

| i know so many of those words but they look so alien, or should I say _lie_, missing the first and last letters. great quiz |

| My worst ever Sporcle score :( |
 | CitizenSnips: | Sep 8th, 2010 at 02:13 GMT | | 17 points |
| At one point my answer list read "FLIRT USING AGING FECES". More great dating advice from Sporcle! |
 | prouvaire: | Sep 8th, 2010 at 05:59 GMT | | 2 points |
| I know it's middle English, but Chaucer does write "and bathed every veyne in SWICH liquor." I'm not saying it should be accepted, but I did try it twice. |
 | ari18: | Sep 8th, 2010 at 06:10 GMT | | 2 points |
| Wow this was hard! I had more trouble with this than I probably should have. Great challenge. |
 | hypezombie: | Sep 8th, 2010 at 09:25 GMT | | 3 points |
| "Adieu" isn't an English word! |
 | like_a_flower: | Sep 8th, 2010 at 12:49 GMT | | 2 points |
| @hypezombie: Actually, "adieu" is in the Oxford English Dictionary. And I agree that Osage should be accepted. It's a Native American people. The Osages are part of the Dakota branch of the Sioux people. |

 | AQuickAlias: | Sep 8th, 2010 at 17:37 GMT | | 8 points |
| I love the subtle story this quiz is telling: visit, knock, flirt, unzip, buxom... wait a minute... obese aging feces? Adieu. |
 | Pogues: | Sep 8th, 2010 at 22:00 GMT | | 1 point |
| I'm with zombie on adieu. It might be in the Oxford English Dictionary, but it is certainly a French word. Other than that issue, good quiz...though I was downright lousy at it. |
 | strags11: | Sep 8th, 2010 at 22:58 GMT | | 1 point |
| Missed only one, and it was the most-guessed answer. Time for a 'quiet' but epic facepalm. |
 | mikemike18: | Sep 9th, 2010 at 03:44 GMT | | 1 point |
| first answer I put down was Luxor haha |
 | like_a_flower: | Sep 9th, 2010 at 12:36 GMT | | 3 points |
| About the word "adieu", sure it originated as a French word but, it has been accepted in the English language. Therefore, it is an acceptable word for this quiz. Same as the word "queue" which is originally French as well. Both are now part of the English language. |
 | shel99: | Sep 9th, 2010 at 13:15 GMT | | 2 points |
| Osage is a proper noun, which is why I'd guess it isn't accepted. |
