This is the second in a series of four quizzes, and each one gets progressively harder. Enjoy!

might be worth pointing out that the -RMO- word is an American spelling

I found this easier than the first, and finished faster.

Judging by the results, you can probably get away with trimming a minute or two.

I agree with WyattsTorch. I got all the ones I could and just gave up instead of staring at the ones I couldn't for the 2:30 I still had left.

This would have made a great one-minute blitz. I did it in 1:19, and felt like I blew through them pretty quick, only having to stop and think for _cto_. A 1:00 time would have made it a great challenge.

I was convinced that _bor_ was abore and I couldn't figure out why it wasn't accepted. Turns out, the word is actually spelled abhor, and was also in the quiz. Doh! Great job.

I couldn't look at '_njo_' without thinking Banjo, even though I knew that was wrong.

Yeah, I had over 2 1/2 mins. left. The only one that really gave me trouble was actor. I did skip a few others and come back to them, though. I usually don't do so well on these. Must be my day! :)

All the words start with a vowel, S or R. Aren't there more letters in the English language?

Man, I always think I do well on these, and then I see the results. And @bsmol53 Of course there are, but the difficulty is finding words with unique middles, so they tend to be ones with vowels or multiple consonants at the beginning.

And you always felt guilty about filling in incomplete words in crosswords, acrostics, anagrams, Wheel of Fortune and Scrabble. Now you can see the hard, practical, productive, businesslike use for all that time you put into completing those seemingly-trivial blanks!

Not sure how doable it is, but something that would dispel the back and forth about whether there is too much time or not would be to expand the results section to add a distribution of how quickly those who got 100% did so.

@davidos - I feel stupid now, don't know why I was so fixated on that, and I was so sure of it at the time! My spelling doesn't normally fail me in such an embarrassing way!
