I was hoping to see Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Return of the Jedi, and Captain America on here. They all have pretty random musical numbers.

That spiderman scene always makes me cringe...

Jesus, Paul Reubens is creepy. Also, I was hoping to see the out-of-nowhere dance sequence in Band of Outsiders, one of the most random in movie history. But this is a great quiz, nonetheless!

This seems to be a cliche of bad romantic comedies.

Good idea for a quiz but some of the movies are terrible (in my opinion). If your're not a fan of chick-flicks, getting over 60% is VERY difficult.

Thanks for reminding me of the abomination that is Spider-Man 3.

Well, I'll admit that romcoms are the number one source of awesome musical numbers, but I don't even see a lot of these films as "chick flicks" (which isn't a real thing). Quite frankly I get sick of seeing the same 20 movies in every Sporcle quiz so that's why I shied away from some of the more obvious choices in this first quiz. Go to the sequel for a more mainstream selection.

How is Sister Act not a musical?

Sister Act is sort of a weird borderline film (like Dirty Dancing and The Fabulous Baker Boys), where it's kind of a musical and kind of not. Everywhere I go has it listed as a comedy and not a musical. The musical numbers don't drive the story in the same way as a tradition musical, and there's not enough to be like Cabaret in that the musical numbers are actual performances.

Missed a great opportunity for the Que Sera Sera scene from "The Man Who Knew Too Much".

0:05 - 0:20 might remain the most embarrassing moment in any Oscar-winner's career forever, unless Tobey Maguire wins one, at which point 0:50 - 1:05 will surpass it.

Out of all of Sandy's movies, I think you could find many much more embarassing moments. Plus, Nic Cage has so many more too lol.

I really liked this quiz. One more moment that came to mind was in The Kids Are All Right when Annette Bening's character passionately broke out into song at the dinner table.

I'd have loved to see that scene from Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows here where Moriarty's singing while torturing Holmes, as deranged as it was, Moriarty's a really good singer.
