NCAA Most Appearances per Bowl Game (Clickable)
62 Pts-Won the Fight Hunger Bowl in what can best be described as a Blowout of Navy. Late scores by Navy against second and third stringers made it look closer than it was.
58 Pts-Won the Dallas Bowl in a total blowout of Purdue. It just goes to show why 6-6 teams should not be in bowl games.
49 Pts-Won the New Mexico Bowl by scoring two touchdowns in the last minute and a half to absolutely shock Nevada in the first bowl game of the season!
49 Pts-Won the Holiday Bowl in a first half 'track-meet' that totally devastated a ranked UCLA team.
48 Pts-Won the Belk Bowl in what was a close game until the 4th quarter, when Duke's defense fell flat and a late interception scored the final points.
45 Pts-Won the Capital One Bowl against a Nebraska team that kept it close until late in the 4th quarter.
45 Pts-Won the Independence Bowl with a high scoring offense that ran and passed all day long, over a Louisiana-Monroe team. ULM, in its first bowl game, was just happy to be there
43 Pts-Won the New Orleans Bowl against a favored East Carolina team that never could get on track, although they did keep it close.
43 Pts-Won the Hawaii Bowl against a Fresno State team that was not ready for a high-powered June Jones run-and-shoot offense.
42 Pts-Won the BCS National Championship by a score of 42-14. The 'Fighting Irish' had about as much fight as recently clubbed baby seals. Beatdown!
41 Pts-Won the Cotton Bowl against the Oklahoma Sooners. This team's quarterback, 'Johnny Football,' passed for 287 yards, 2 touchdowns, and ran for 229 yards and 2 touchdowns.
41 Pts-Won the Potato Bowl against a good MAC team, in Toledo, and probably would have done well in a bigger bowl game.
38 Pts-Won the St Petersburg Bowl in what was essentially a home game, against a Ball State team that was really never in the game.
38 Pts-Won the Compass Bowl against another 6-6 team in Pittsburgh. There was no doubt who would win from the first snap.
38 Pts-Won the Pinstripe Bowl in a snowy Yankee Stadium. This team ran the ball squarely up the West Virginia defense all day long! No contest.
38 Pts-Won the Music City Bowl to score thier 9th win of the season...for the first time since 1915. Definitely a historic bowl game.
35 Pts-Won the Fiesta Bowl in a game where Kansas State was really never in it from the 1st quarter.
34 Pts-Won the Gator Bowl finally! Another history making game, since this team had not won a bowl game since 1949. Mississippi State was not happy.
34 Pts-Won the Texas Bowl in a very chippy game against Minnesota. It looked like a Nascar race, there were so many yellow flags!
33 Pts-Won the Sugar Bowl in a total shocker! This team totally destroyed a Florida team that felt they should have been in the National Championship. I guess not.
33 Pts-Won the Armed Forces Bowl against an Air Force team that had a 14-7 lead at halftime. A second half comeback of 26 points took the life out of the Falcons.
33 Pts-Won the Outback Bowl on a last second touchdown over Michigan. One of the best games of the season!
31 Pts-Won the Orange Bowl against an overmatched Northern Illinois team that should not have been in the Orange Bowl in the first place.
31 Pts-Won the Alamo Bowl against a higher ranked Oregon State team, in the last minute of the game. It was another good bowl game that went down to the wire!
31 Pts-Won the Liberty Bowl against an overmatched 6-6 Iowa State team. Even though Iowa St jumped out to an early lead, this team came roaring back to win.
29 Pts-Won the Military Bowl against a good Bowling Green team. It was a fairly close final at 29-20.
28 Pts-Won the Las Vegas Bowl by 2 points against a Washington team that played well. It could have gone either way.
25 Pts-Won the Peach Bowl by edging out LSU with a last second field goal. This was one of the best games of the bowl season! Could have gone either way.
24 Pts-Won the Motor City Bowl in a mistake filled game, against Western Kentucky. Whoever didn't drop the ball last was going to win this one.
23 Pts-Won the Poinsettia Bowl against the home team of San Diego State. Home crowd didn't help them as they were blown out late, 23-6.
21 Pts-Won the Sun Bowl in a game that could best be described as 'Lack of a Condom' or the 'Trojan No-Show.' USC didn't want to be in El Paso, and it showed. They were pathetic.
20 Pts-Won the Rose Bowl in a close game against Wisconsin. Not a lot of offense, but if you are a fan of great defense, this was your game.
17 Pts-Won the GoDaddy Bowl in a close game over Kent State, 17-13. Defense and injuries decided this one late.
17 Pts-Won the Copper Bowl in a last minute field goal against TCU. Another hard fought defensive game, with a final score of 17-16.
13 Pts-Won the Citrus Bowl with a field goal in overtime, against a heavily favored Rutgers team that could never get on track.
