So did you add Ernie Banks to the Cubs list, and was Derrek Lee previously listed as their HR leader for 1B? Banks did play over 50% of his games at 1B according to bb-r's fielding stats. Do you know why he doesn't show up as a Cubs' 1B in a play index search? Have you found other players that fit this description, having slightly over 50% of their games at one position, yet not showing up at that position in the play index?
I guess if you really wanted to do something to keep people from complaining about Musial, Killebrew, etc. you could add an "other" slot for each team, and list the player who hit the most home runs for that team but is not currently listed as #1 for any of the 8 positions on this quiz. This could cover guys who played multiple positions as well as guys like Chipper Jones, Jimmie Foxx, Joe Dimaggio, and Carl Yastrzemski, who hit a ton of home runs for one team, but just happened to play the same position as someone who hit more. I'm not saying that you have to do this to make it a good quiz, just that it would be a fun additions, although granted the quiz is already pretty massive as it is. |
