I like it! One quibble: "Geothermal" is very vague. I have no idea what it is supposed to describe, even after knowing which map goes with it.

Very nice quiz, and I did a lot better than with your UK version (even though I'm not American). I hope you'll be doing other sequels, for instance for the EU.

Thanks Patricio and Tobsodan! I've done an Australian version and do feel a series coming on (just need to do some actual work between all this...)

Fantastic! Harder than I expected it would be. I can't wait til Sporcle has clickable image quizzes (where either the image displays as the question or where the images are the answers you click).

Your death penalty map is out of date.

@sufradley: I thought I was going to ace this; then I failed. I was bummed, but then I saw your Beaker icon, and it cheered me up. :)

Shockingly got all of them right on the first attempt...please give this habitual failure another challenge.

Needs way more time. Especially for people outside of the US, 20 seconds per map is not nearly enough. Other than that, it's a great and interesting quiz.

Eventually worked out that 12 had to be the death penalty. However, either a state has the death penalty or it doesn't. The map you are using is more complicated than that.

I agree with nahtanoj999 that the death penalty map is out of date. Living in Maryland, I know for a fact that this state does not have the death penalty. Virginia, on the other hand, does have the death penalty (both states were marked red on the map).
