Thanks for the suggestion however, CVS is commonly used in anatomy for cardiovascular system (also sometimes just for cardiovascular) but it is not generally used for cardiovascular surgery.

Viruses should not be in the microorganism category, being nonliving and all. I would just call it viruses. Also, can you accept micrograph/micrography for the M in TEM/SEM?

@tobley - thanks for your TEM/SEM suggestions, they are now included. As for your microorganism point, I would argue about viruses being non-living, this is still under much debate, as is the concept of life itself, however I have switched the group title to pathogens.

It's really "fluorescence in situ hybridization". Otherwise, nice mix, and boy did this test my ability to spell! I knew three or four that I simply didn't spell right.

@benmud - amoungst several different speeling versions for the UK/US versions I'd missed that combination (the main one!) - thank you, now added. As for spelling - I'm with you on this, just very glad they are initialized.

It's almost like I wrote "speeling" to prove a point...

Great quiz. How about CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) as an addition?

@Jam1 - that's an excellent suggestion, I wonder how many people would get it via the alternative Continuous Plankton Recorder instead? Unfortunately adding it will mess up the statistics and I think that will annoy a few folk (“Surely more people get CNS than NADP?” etc). I'm going to put your idea in the bank and see if I can dredge up a sequel. Thanks again!
