	I think that Buenos Aires belongs definitely to the Western world, either geographically or politically. (Argentina has never been in the east and/or under a Communist regime, that were the criteria for calling a country "eastern").

	Yes, I am not quite sure why South America is not part of this...it seems a very arbitrary and hodge podge set of countries. A fun quiz to do, but a bit of a mish-mosh.

	@midnight: Argentina, Chile and Uruguay in particular are populated almost entirely by European descendants. By the time the Spanish got to the southern part of South America, they were exterminating Indio populations wholesale, and as a result, nearly all of the people living in those countries are, broadly defined, "white". According to the Wikipedia page "demographics of Argentina", 86.4% of Argentines are ethnic European descendants, mostly Spanish and Italian; 8% identify as mestizo and 4% as Indian. For comparison, the USA is 72.4% ethnically European descendant; 6.4% are mestizo and 2.9% are of "more than one race".

	Why is San Jose counted twice? The population for San Francisco you used includes San Jose in it's metro area, but San Jose is listed on it's own as well. Since this quiz is based on metro populations, San Jose should not appear by itself. Washington and Baltimore being separate is also weird on a Metro based quiz.

	That is true for Combined Statistical Areas which link together adjacent Core Based Statistical Areas represented in this quiz. In such case we should count Ruhr-Rhein, Randstad or Silesia-Krakow-Ostrava as combined metro areas which was not the purpose of this quiz. For the Core Based Statistical Areas Baltimore and Washignton, San Francisco and San Jose are counted separately.

	@LinuxLinus: You are right so the quiz name has been narrowed to developed countries. The main reason for that is lack of reliable data of the metro areas for the South American countries.

	Usually, Baltimore is included with D.C. and San Jose with San Francisco. Depends on your definition of a metropolitan area, however.

	Some of the countries you included in your quiz don't qualify as being fully "developed", namely Croatia and several EU nations such as Poland, Bulgaria,Romania, etc. I don't get the point of excluding Japan, S. Korea, and Singapore (the only other delevoped nations).They aren't "Western", but you might have well included those countries to the quiz.

	Japan, with the 11th highest human development index in the world and a GPD per capita higher than France, isn't "developed"? Amsterdam, with a metro population of 2.1 million, doesn't make the list?

	japan is "eastern", brazil and argentina are developing countries as well as mexico. Hence they aren't included.
