Boy, do these selections suck. Also, you need to be more generous in terms of what answers are acceptable. Dr Doom should be acceptable for Doctor Doom, Reverend Stryker or just Stryker should be accepted for William Stryker, and there's no reason to require Kang the Conqueror instead of just Kang.

the list is from IGN, so i blame them for including someone as lame as carnage or omega red (they are clearly marvel zombies). agreed that you need to allow more freedom with just "kang" or using "dr" instead of "doctor" all the time.

Already done: http://www.sporcle.com/games/newcastlej/villains. Although that one didn't have any hints. It seems to me that the publisher hint is pretty superfluous given the first appearance hint. First appearance of #21 is Watchmen #1. First appearance of #66 is Preacher #13. First appearance of #74 is Preacher #1.

Assuming you mean Helmut for Baron Zemo II, he did not first appear in Avengers #4. That would have been his father, Heinrich, the original Baron Zemo. I believe Helmut first appeared in Captain America #168, which Wikipedia says was in Dec. '73.

the Lucifer on the list is not the X-Men villain that crippled Xavier, its Lucifer from the Sandman series. So his first appearance info needs to be changed. And the Governor is from the Walking Dead series.

Love the quiz. Some quibbles: "Zod" should trigger General Zod; "Kraven" should trigger Kraven the Hunter; "Mxyzptlk" should DEFINITELY trigger Mr. Mxyzptlk (jeez, if somebody knows how to spell it, reward them!) Not sure who "The Adversary" is... you sure you have the right source? Might be wrong on that one.

The bad guy listed as first appearing in "Watchman #21" should be listed as first appearing in "Watch
men
#1". It was only 12 issues so there was never an issue #21.

"Black King" should be acceptable for Sebastian Shaw.

Is there any need to specify which Baron Zemo? Should just "Baron Zemo" be enough?

Cool quiz. Might want to accept "Rasputin" in addition to "Grigori Rasputin," and "Clown" should work for "Violator" (I read that comic and I still couldn't remember its real name).

Black on Red is more difficult to read than Red on Black. Please change color scheme so I can take your quiz.

Fun quiz. I missed plenty, but I just wish that I had gotten Fin Fang Foom. His reappearance in Warren Ellis' Nextwave was amazingly hilarious.
