I saw that movie on the 4th of July, and after this speech everyone in the theater cheered. Love it.

I don't remember the speech, but got 80 by just typing words.

Even though I was completely guessing, I enjoyed this quiz! This is a fun concept & I'd like to see more speeches. Maybe the Gettysburg Address or something recent from Obama?

159/159. I woulda gotten it faster if it went in order and i didn't keep losing word parts to words later on in the speech. (like "no" when I was trying to type "not" or "to" when I was trying to type "today")

This speech is only rivaled by Aragorn's in The Return of the King.

When I look for inspiration to overcome a seemingly impossible task, I go to the Miracle speech. But when I look for inspiration to kick ass, I look to this one.

It's not really that good of a movie, but it's always worth it to listen to him make that speech.

You people are out of your minds. Everything about that movie, including "THE SPEECH", is totally lame.
| sistermoon68: | Jul 5th, 2012 at 19:34 GMT | | -4 points |
I think it's amazing that Bill Pullman managed to get through the whole thing without cracking up! It is so over-the-top (like the rest of the movie). It certainly has some entertainment value, but it is funny when its not even meant to be.

Should I be concerned that I was able to get 100% on this without going back to watch the speech?
| JM001: | Feb 5th, 2013 at 23:40 GMT | | 1 point |
I like this film in a cheesy sort of way, but I think the praise for this speech is a little over the top, as the only noteworthy bit is its vastly inferior bastardisation of Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night.
| lester_burnham: | Mar 20th, 2013 at 13:59 GMT | | 1 point |
The key to this speech is Pullman's voice raising an octave on "we will not go quietly into the night". Goosebumps.
