I included the stanzas which are most often on the show. I had to get rid of some stanzas because they did not fit on the quiz

the second time he calls the cabby homes not homie. nice quiz.
Jul 20th, 2010 at 14:05 GMT
I think that it's "sit on my throne", not "settle my throne", and he thought "nah, forget it" not "now forget it".

carlton banks is amazing

good quiz but i think the time limit is a bit short, maybe give a bit more time

To echo Matty, I have no idea where you got 'settle', and at this time only 7.7% guessed 'settle', and I suspect that is only repeat players (could is 2nd last on 36%). I only missed 'flipped' (never occurred to me to add 'ed' to 'flip' & 'settle'.

neighbourhood not accepted :(
Mar 22nd, 2012 at 11:16 GMT
I kept typing words like chilling, maxing, relaxing etc. Of course it would accept them as soon as I wrote the n which meant that my next word would have a random g at the start of it. Curse my middle class ways

Missed a couple stanzas. After "Hmm this might be alright" there's another stanza about how the people of "Bel-Air are prissy, bourgeois and all that" and Will is worried that it's "the type of place they'd send this cool cat."

Remember that episode when Carlton did something snobby? That was my favorite one.
Mar 13th, 2013 at 20:15 GMT
@PintRocker: I preferred the one where Phil threw Jazz out of the house. That one was awesome!

Superb quiz - I'm nine years old again!
Mar 13th, 2013 at 20:45 GMT
Love it ^.^ all from memory too i'm super pleased now lol... missed 'homes' but I miss that every time I try and recite it.
Mar 13th, 2013 at 20:47 GMT
I feel sad inside for how easy that was for me.
Mar 13th, 2013 at 21:24 GMT
Funny as a now 29 year old this song is eternally grained into memory...From when I was 7 til about 14 I would go out and play everyday after school and come home right as the first of back to back Fresh Prince episodes was coming on. I forget the order, and it changed a few times over the years, but I know Full House, Rosanne, Seifeld, and maybe Home Improvement were all in the 5pm til 8pm block. Amazing to look back and realize how simple those times were, haha.

There was an extra verse on a few episodes. Would make a good bonus answer. Here's the extended version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kOzZAV8Gt5E

I used to think he was from 'Westville, Bedovia'. True fact. One of my life;s many, many mondegreens.
Mar 13th, 2013 at 22:25 GMT
mum should be accepted, you know, for all us brits, and neighbourhood ;)
Mar 13th, 2013 at 23:13 GMT
Gah!! Almost had my first perfect lyrics game. Only missed one. I thought "flipped" was "quick." Oh well. Still fun.
Mar 13th, 2013 at 23:20 GMT
My favorite episode is the one where Will is making fun of Carlton for being short.
Mar 13th, 2013 at 23:21 GMT
got all of the lyrics, then when I went to finish off the bonus I was stopped by the quiz ending
Mar 14th, 2013 at 00:42 GMT
I like the episode when Hillary said something dumb
Mar 14th, 2013 at 01:05 GMT
Good quiz, though the slang term is actually "holmes", not "homes".
Mar 14th, 2013 at 01:25 GMT
So it's not "Shootin' some people outside of the school?" =P http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/answer-sheet/wp/2013/03/03/misheard-fresh-prince-song-sparks-schools-lockdown/
Mar 14th, 2013 at 02:35 GMT
Remember the one where Will makes a fat joke and Uncle Phil gets mad?
Mar 14th, 2013 at 03:09 GMT
Ooh, ooh! What about the one where Hilary does something insensitive, but it turns out that deep down, she really cares?
Mar 14th, 2013 at 03:10 GMT
glad I had 8 minutes because I didn't realize the little words and phrases I thought I heard in the theme that aren't actually there at all lol It's not "twist-turned upside down", and Will did not in fact think the cabbie was "queer"...my bad XD
Mar 14th, 2013 at 03:16 GMT
There's a video of Kristen Bell showing some guys the full song and they were blown away when they heard the extra verses.
Mar 14th, 2013 at 05:59 GMT
Weird, I always thought the line "that this cab was rare" was "the discount was where?", implying the fare was high. I was a weird child.
Mar 14th, 2013 at 10:12 GMT
Listen you big-eared freeloader! You take your little square-headed cousin and you go find Geoffrey and you bring him back! Or they'll never find your bodies! And I'm a judge--I can make it happen! Classic episode haha
Mar 14th, 2013 at 10:27 GMT
Completed both bonus sections, but I'm sure that theres a third one, isnt there? :/
Mar 14th, 2013 at 10:36 GMT
found it - at 1:16 there's an extra 2 verses for a bonus, though more time might be needed http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AVbQo3IOC_A
Mar 14th, 2013 at 12:15 GMT
@Merchant: Yes, it's definitely "Holmes". Also, I thought (maybe incorrectly) that he said "I thought that this CAT was rare"
Mar 14th, 2013 at 14:02 GMT
Is it a coincidence that this was published on Quincy Jones' 80th birthday?
Mar 14th, 2013 at 14:27 GMT
Only missed 'homes'. Like others above, I suggest accepting 'holmes'.
Mar 14th, 2013 at 14:48 GMT
Missed 5. Not bad for something I haven't seen in 20 years.
Mar 14th, 2013 at 14:49 GMT
@PintRocker: Yeah, that one was good. But what about the one where Will made fun of Carlton for being short?
Mar 14th, 2013 at 15:05 GMT
Why should "Holmes" be accepted. It refers to "Homie" not Sherlock, ;)
