Please leave feedback, first time i've tried this type of quiz and will do more in multiple sports if people like the idea. If not, let me know too, just....be gentle. Lol
Feb 17th, 2010 at 14:43 GMT
Great idea. I like it when people try things that take a little work and thought to put together. I get tired of some of these sporcle nerds that have everything figured out and broadcast that in their comments. Keep it up! Great idea!
Feb 17th, 2010 at 14:44 GMT
how do you do this kind of quiz..i dont know how to make it work like that
Feb 17th, 2010 at 14:53 GMT
ASC: you put the player or whatever for the first answer, then have the rest as bonus answers (type ee in the extra column on data page to make it a hidden bonus answer), so for the hint on the first one, put type "GO" to begin, then have GO as a bonus answer, with a new question in the hint column, as well as what to type next for the next question, like type 2 for the second clue. Then the next bonus answer have 2 as the answer with the hint being the next question etc etc. Let me know if you understand
Feb 17th, 2010 at 14:55 GMT
Also guys, post how many clues it took please, I would like to know to see if it was too easy/hard etc for future ones
Feb 17th, 2010 at 15:17 GMT
Got it on the 500 HR club clue. Fun stuff
Feb 17th, 2010 at 15:20 GMT
Got it in 3 clues... if I weren't from Pennsylvania myself, I would've had no idea that he was born there...
Feb 17th, 2010 at 15:22 GMT
yeah i know the quiz is going to be easier for PA people by that first clue, but the rest of the country really has no clue where he was born so it is the vaguest clue all around
Feb 17th, 2010 at 15:28 GMT
I too got it on the 500th HR clue. 1st one that came to mind in conjunction with the no WS clue.
Feb 17th, 2010 at 15:29 GMT
yeah, i might have to rework the order, why I appreciate the feedback. thanks guys
Feb 17th, 2010 at 15:51 GMT
First clue! Lucky guess though, not going to lie. Griffey was the first MLB star I thought of from PA.
Feb 17th, 2010 at 15:52 GMT
congrats klg! first one to get it on first clue
Feb 17th, 2010 at 16:05 GMT
I got it on one clue and after one other guess (born in the same town though!). But I'm from where he grew up, so I had a big leg up.
Feb 17th, 2010 at 16:24 GMT
ok too many quakers on here. changing the order. lol.

I'll let you guys decide next quiz. Football/Basketball/Hockey. Also harder/same/easier please. Please vote on both
Feb 17th, 2010 at 17:57 GMT
when i saw not in hall of fame i typed pete rose lol
Feb 17th, 2010 at 18:29 GMT
yeah i got it on the 500 hr clue too. Before that I had it in my head he was a pitcher. Cool idea for a quiz!
Feb 17th, 2010 at 18:56 GMT
Need more than a minute. Do more quizzes like this though.
Feb 17th, 2010 at 19:00 GMT
I was stuck between Bonds and Bonds the whole time. My mind completely shut after left handed hitter with over 500 home runs that was not in the Hall of Fame. Griffey always tends to get past me especially since dragging on his career is really hurting some of his reputation as an all time great.
Feb 17th, 2010 at 19:48 GMT
woohoo, first guess! left handed, first slugger that came to mind.
Feb 17th, 2010 at 20:05 GMT
4th clue, but now the first clue seems to be "left handed hitter". That's really not much of a clue--there are like 10,000 players in the history of baseball who batted left handed. How about something like, "As a teenager, I played single A minor league baseball in the city that is home of the first MacDonalds--but was in the bigs for good the next year." Or something that a baseball freak might possibly know.

Feb 17th, 2010 at 21:48 GMT
mebejoe, the point isn't really to have people get it on the first guess. The idea for this game is taken from a Stump the Schwab segment, and the first clue was always impossible. Like this person was a first round draft pick, etc
Feb 17th, 2010 at 22:36 GMT
4th clue on my first try. 0 clues on my second.
Feb 17th, 2010 at 22:51 GMT
say 600 homer club, 500 is too generic
Feb 18th, 2010 at 01:26 GMT
Darn shame he had all those injuries, or you're looking at the greatest player to ever play the game.
Feb 18th, 2010 at 03:52 GMT
2 clues. had the left handed then three teams
Feb 18th, 2010 at 04:29 GMT
pablo, there is what seven people in the 600 home run club? I might as well spell out his name by that clue if that was the case. There are ten total clues and would like people to get to the fourth one.
Feb 18th, 2010 at 13:12 GMT
idk y he popped into my head with the 3 teams clue but i got it with that lol
Feb 18th, 2010 at 14:58 GMT
Ok guys and gals, I have switched this quiz to an NFL player now. Good luck
Feb 18th, 2010 at 15:28 GMT
I would change the Hall of Fame clue. You do not know if he will be a first ballot HOFer. I think he obviously deserves it but the selection process for the football hall of fame is strange. I mean Cris Carter is not even in yet and he is number 2 all-time in receptions.
Feb 18th, 2010 at 16:01 GMT
Only quibble is that I don't think Faulk will be a first-ballot HOFer. There's a backlog of deserving candidates, and he will have to wait his turn.
Feb 18th, 2010 at 17:47 GMT
Rdub19: Yeah exactly my point. The NFL only allows at most 7 HOFers to be chosen each year. Very few get first ballot even if they deserve it.
Feb 18th, 2010 at 18:24 GMT
I disagree, but changed it anyway
Feb 18th, 2010 at 19:24 GMT
Well let's come back in a few years and see who is right.
Feb 18th, 2010 at 19:49 GMT
Sounds good. Tell ya what, if we are still in our epic comment battles then, how about a wager? I will change my screen name to BradyIsTheGreatest if I am wrong, and you change yours to PeytonIsTheGreatest if you are wrong. Deal?
