| @godpaul25: Trust me, in New England there are plenty of die-hard football fans who do not use the 3>1 argument. That is for the bandwagon/Brady lover fans. I love the Patriots and Brady, but not so much that I'm going to root JUST for Brady like a lot of guys do. However, this is true of a lot of fans who have a superstar on their team. I don't know how many Colts fans I've talked to who just talk about Manning, but when the Colts actually come up they have nothing to say. It is ridiculous. Love the logo on the front, not just the name on the back people! To the point about Manning. Yes, he is one of the best play callers ever (might be the greatest) but I don't think that puts him above those two because both have those capabilities and have shown they can do that. I don't care about counting stats so much (Favre is not in my top 10) and don't care that Manning will end up with the most TDs, yards, blah blah blah. I care more about rate stats when judging a QB and Brady is right there equal with him while having to play outdoors and having less talent around him for most of his career. I'm not going to say Manning "chokes" either but he has had a history of poor playoff performances that have cost his team. Bad decisions late in games or the end of halves that are extremely costly in the playoffs. This, however, was earlier in his career and he seemed to get over that until (AMEN) that interception two days ago. Montana and Unitas (in my opinion) are the top 2, no doubt about that and I think when it is all said and done Brady and Manning will end up 3A and 3B. They are both THAT good. Any Patriots or Colts fans who love football need to appreciate what we are seeing in these two. PS. I hate Peyton Manning. I fist-pumped like Sean Payton when he threw that interception. But I can't deny how great that guy is. |
