Can you name the images that each start with the letter 'U'?
Enter an answer in the box below
Correctly named answers will show up below
If your obvious answer isn't working, you probably have to be more specific. For example, UNIDENTIFIED THING is too general; you need to identify the specific thing in the photo.

I probably would have made it through life without ever knowing about Ugli fruit. Thanks, sproutcum.

@chriskotx: Next time you go to post a comment, you should probably make sure everything's spelled right. ;)

Huh, what? oh..sorry, sproutcm..careless mistake. Goodnight.

I thought the "U"psilon was an "U"ppercase Y. Perhaps you could swap that image for a lowercase upsilon?
Oct 26th, 2011 at 12:11 GMT
You must have had 'u' on the brain chriskotx.

An umpire doesn't look like that in the UK, so the way his right arm is poised I tried 'up yours'. Nice series, I always have a go.
Oct 26th, 2011 at 13:35 GMT
Two of the funniest Sporcle comments ever: Cortez's "Up Yours" and the explanation that "Unidentified Thing is too general" in the instructions. Classics!

Don't you just hate it when the usher stands next to you at the urinal!
Oct 26th, 2011 at 15:33 GMT
I got 15, as I do on almost every letter picture quiz. I can't believe I missed ultrasound. I kept thinking umbillical.
Oct 26th, 2011 at 15:42 GMT
I'd have saved the undershirt image for the next quiz but one.
Oct 26th, 2011 at 17:29 GMT
Dang, that IS an ugli fruit!
Oct 26th, 2011 at 17:33 GMT
Sheesh...you would think that with a wife, a grown daughter, a mother-in-law, two sisters, two sisters-in-law, and six nieces, I would have heard of an "updo" before. Clearly I am not paying enough attention to their fashion conversations.
Comment below threshold:

I never heard of an 'updo'. Also we don't call that an undershirt in the UK, it's a vest. Plus I thought the 'usher' was an 'umpire'. Not very clear, sorry.
Oct 27th, 2011 at 00:49 GMT
I think I enjoyed the comments as much the quiz. still laughing about chriskotx. too funny Wred (or should I say wicked funny?). I can't believe you caught that. Am I the only person who tried uterus before ultrasound?
Oct 27th, 2011 at 12:34 GMT
@triffid if people made quizes based on what things are called in the UK, we would all be utterly confused!
Oct 28th, 2011 at 00:19 GMT
@triffid the reeason u don't have a sporcle avatar is that sproutcm would swap it into this quiz and change an answer to "UK whiner"
Oct 28th, 2011 at 14:59 GMT
I love all of these quizes! they are always really fun :)
Nov 30th, 2011 at 08:32 GMT
Maybe accept uterus for ultrasound? Also, upsilon, uranus and umlaut spell the word "YOU" (pronounced "U"). U SO TRICKY SPROUTCM.
Dec 10th, 2011 at 15:39 GMT
I thought of Phraxos answer as well. Nice catch Wred. Too funny.
Dec 28th, 2011 at 10:45 GMT
@triffid... oh come on. Just look at the picture of the guy in his vest and think... what could this be that starts with U? Underwear? No... oh, must be undershirt! I'm from Australia and here we call it a singlet, but I still figured it out. And where have you EVER seen an umpire that looks like that usher? At a chess tournament?? "Updo" had me stumped though!
May 4th, 2012 at 00:13 GMT
It took forever to get undershirt, all I could think of was wife beater. I also didn't realize that was a planet. It looked like a marble or a view out a porthole. Sigh.
Nov 7th, 2012 at 11:21 GMT
Didn't get undershirt because we call them vests here. Ended up completely guessing "updo" as I didn't think that was the technical name for it haha. Love these quizzes :D
