The 6-letter L answer doesn't start with an L, and you have some 7-letter answers out of SPORCLE order.

I like the quiz, but I think you should accept pompon as an answer for 'cheerleader's prop' along with pompom. Link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pom-pon

Maybe you could change either the 3 letter C answer or the 5 letter C answer because if you start to type in the 5 letter C answer you get the 3 letter one.

Nice quiz! Just a couple things... (1) looks like you changed the 5-letter clue for E without changing the answer. (2) Would you consider accepting "soldier" for the 7-letter S clue?

@ras0723 Thanks for catching that. Sporcle, when you don't have a good net connection, sometimes misses the edits! All fixed now.

I like the quiz, but I have to object to chi being described as the Ancient Greek X. The Greek letter that was pronounced like an X is xi. That's what gives us the X in xylophone, xenophobia, etc. Chi looks superficially like an X, but makes a guttural sound, and is written so that its legs are below most of the text. The only example of chi becoming X is where X represents Christ in Xmas and Xian. Generally, it's transliterated as "ch" - chorus, technology, etc.

@Manticore/myb555 That symbol in that "chi" question isn't an X at all, but the unicode of the Greek letter chi. It is just asking for the name of that letter.

The letter 'x' of Greeks, is 'chi'!!! Actually, I know only 10 Greek alphabets, alpha, beta, gamma, delta, epsilon, mu, nu, sigma, kappa and omega.

An octave isn't a group of 8 notes. It's the "distance" (musically speaking, the interval) between two notes of the same name, e.g. from an A to the next A. It can also mean the whole range of pitches lying within those two notes, which in Western music corresponds to 12 notes, or 13 if you count the "top border"; in the example above: A A# B C C# D D# E F F# G G# (A).

...or
eight
, if you're working with a diatonic scale rather than the chromatic one: A B C# D E F# G# A, for instance.

Nice quiz. I somehow missed Columbus' home, even though it's wear I live. All that was coming to mind was Spain or the Nina, Pinta, and Santa Maria.
