I didn't realize until after I clicked to start that the first order of business would be spelling 'Aykroyd'. Luckily Sporcle experience had prepared me for it. Unfortunately I was not prepared for 'Garofalo', and was playing Musical Chairs with vowels on that one for quite a while.

My one criticism is Tina fey over Chris Farley and will ferrule. Other than that, great quiz

I have to agree with druhutch: that's a ridiculous bunch of names to have to spell; I'm afraid Poehler was my Waterloo.

Thank you for using a picture of Victoria Jackson from her insane-right-wing-political-commentary career (instead of the 80's, when she was quite the looker). Made me chuckle.

You should accept some alternate spellings on names like Garofalo which phonetically could be spelled many different ways.

Victoria Jackson wasn't at all funny when she was on SNL, and nowadays she's a hate-filled, looney tunes, very dumb, far right whackadoo. Other than that she's great.

this is more of a spelling quiz than anything. Should have some forgiveness -- spent about a minute trying to type garofalo and admantly pounding in K A T A N, without trying an extra T. Was fortunate to have remembered aykroyd.

There were some I only got because of deduction based on their placement. I would never have identified them by the picture (looking at you, Cheri Oteri).

Good timing with Kristen Wiig's SNL farewell show last night. She made that show great the past seven years.

I don't think it's coincidence Etep. Yes, I got teary over the last couple of SNL minutes last night. Nice touch. I wonder if Jason Sudeikis and Andy Samberg are leaving too. (Samburg?)

I know she was only on for one season (if that), but show some love for the late, great Danitra Vance - aside from being the first African American repertory player, she's the only 'V' cast member.

Whenever Phil Hartman's name comes up in a quiz or casual conversation, I get sad all over again. There will never be another like him, IMHO.

Danitra Vance was far from the "first African American repertory player." Before her, there was Garrett Morris & Eddie Murphy. Damon Wayans was a also a member of her same cast.

I think they meant Danitra was the first female African American repertory player, and I agree it'd be nice to have her on the list, both for her place in the history of SNL and to add a little bit of difficulty to an otherwise pretty easy quiz (it seems like spelling and crazy V-Jackson are the only obstacles people are having). Some more obscure names would be fun.

Apparently Billy Crystal was a cast member from 1984-5: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saturday_Night_Live_cast_members
