The problem is that the ending -i can be a plural (in which case it's pasta) or a Latin genitive (in which case it's a surname, e.g. Ambrosini meaning "[descendant] of Ambrosinus"). "Gemelli" (literally 'twins') is pasta but could also be a composer; the surname Gemelli exists in Italy, but seemingly no one with it became famous as musician. |
