| There are better pictures for "magazine." The cover of Time, perhaps? |

| I think the magazine picture was fine..I had trouble figuring out what the mercury was...thermometer might be clearer :) |
 | mrpotwtf69: | Oct 17th, 2011 at 22:53 GMT | | 2 points |
| I actually thought the Mercury was upside down mushrooms lol. I always thought mistletoe was only red too, oh well. |

| I tried mollusks for mussels. |
 | sproutcm: | Oct 19th, 2011 at 15:35 GMT | | 15 points |
| @All Here is a general Sporcle question. People will not take the time to read the notes or instructions at the top of the quiz, but they will go through the effort to comment on a quiz clearly indicating that they didn't read the note (which has ALWAYS said you had to be more specific about mollusk). Why? |
 | Phraxos: | Oct 19th, 2011 at 17:21 GMT | | 4 points |
| @sproutcm: That is a corollary of the general principle that it is easier to ask forgiveness than permission. |
 | THEJMAN: | Oct 19th, 2011 at 21:58 GMT | | 2 points |
| Mangoes is the displayed answer, but 'Mango' is not accepted. I might have mistyped something and failed to notice; if not, I suggest adding 'Mango' as an acceptable answer. |

| Nice non-traditional use of 'magazine'. |

| i second mason jar. |
 | sproutcm: | Oct 21st, 2011 at 13:51 GMT | | 7 points |
| @gopaladins and others. A) The jars contain marmalade. B) A Mason jar has a completely different shape of glass, and a square not rounded top. These are clearly NOT Mason jars. |

| Pestle and Mortar (that's the way round I've always heard it said) got me muddled, tried thinking of P words, double-checked what letter I was on again! |

| Clearly 59.7% of quiz takers (as of this comment) need a balm to their souls for missing a certain question. May I suggest the Calming Manatee (http://calmingmanatee.com/)? |

| Mussels are mollusks. So, you know, "mollusk" should be an acceptable answer. |
 | tommyfbutler: | Nov 6th, 2012 at 07:09 GMT | | 6 points |
| Molcajete should be an acceptable alternative to mortar.
