Please accept 'kitteh'...
Oct 15th, 2011 at 21:42 GMT
never ever ever ever heard of a kepi.

OMG. I FINALLY COMPLETED A SPROUTCM QUIZ!! But seriously, fantastic quiz, as always :)
Oct 17th, 2011 at 03:00 GMT
I loved how "kitty" was accepted. Kitties are adorable! :)

The letter 'k' owes a debt of gratitude to Oceanic fauna.

No Kyrgyzstan? And I was so excited. But seriously, great quiz!
Oct 20th, 2011 at 18:08 GMT
Thank you for accepting "kingfisher!" I probably wouldn't have gotten kookaburra. Great quizzes, btw.
Oct 20th, 2011 at 19:08 GMT
Great game. Yes, thanks for accepting Kingfisher.
Oct 25th, 2011 at 00:39 GMT
guess I'll dissent from hyrax & keena....I think accepting kingfisher is being a little too generous. Very nice, though!

@acbc66 A kookaburra is a type of kingfisher. I have to accept kingfisher.

I thought I was finally going to get a perfect, then got to that not-khaki kolored kap at the end. I probably spent too much time looking at the bare knee. Anyway, I got a prediction right: on the J quiz, I predicted Joey's mom would be here.

Should have got keystone, but kepi? Not a chance.

The kiss looks like a chocolate chip.

Defeated only by the Hershey's confectionery that I've never heard of.. :-(
Aug 9th, 2012 at 16:34 GMT
@DerekH - Looking at your avatar, it seems you are from Scotland. BUt it amazes me that you know what Hershey's is but you don't know a Hersey's Kiss. If they don't sell Kisses in Scotland, than you are missing out on what is Hershey's most popular confectionery (next to a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup).
Aug 15th, 2012 at 14:44 GMT
Yes, I'm from Scotland, and I've heard of Hershey's but don't know their individual lines. Similarly, I've heard of baseball, but couldn't name any current players... ;-)

No Kyrgyzstan? Come on.....
Sep 10th, 2012 at 04:16 GMT
Obviously, not many Americans have taken this quiz yet.
Sep 10th, 2012 at 04:30 GMT
What was in the quiz before Kentucky? Or do more people just know what a kookaburra is?
Sep 10th, 2012 at 04:46 GMT
kingfisher worked for kookaburra, I think that's the culprit for that.
Sep 10th, 2012 at 04:49 GMT
@Sixtytwobobs It used to be a picture of a kepi (a type of hat), and only 7% of people had gotten it so I replaced it with something more gettable, Kentucky.

William is eagerly (maybe) waiting for the day that "King" will have to be accepted for his picture.

"Kentucky is a state, Kentucky is a state, all the people there are..." oh, the things I learn on Family Guy.

Too much New Zealand stuff and not Aussie stuff :)
Sep 10th, 2012 at 07:38 GMT
@TigerRockets: Maybe i'm missing the joke, but I see 3 Aussie-specific things and 1 New Zealand specific thing. It seems like both countries are well represented by our dear friend, the letter K.
Sep 10th, 2012 at 08:01 GMT
Too Oceanic-Faunacentric ;)
Sep 10th, 2012 at 10:04 GMT
That komes from the fakt that the English language (generally speacing) prefers its "c" for the "k" sound and so relies heavily on more recently imported words. If I'm not mistaken, 10 are kulturally foreign to the English language.

Wow, looks like Kentucky is now an island, floating in the middle of the ocean! :)
Sep 10th, 2012 at 10:21 GMT
love these quizzes, but there is PLENTY of time for anyone to finish this one. Took less than 1/4 of the allotment and I don't type well.
Sep 10th, 2012 at 11:08 GMT
I am now wondering exactly what the difference is (if any) between "kebabs" and "shishkebabs" (what I've always called them; the only one that hung me up for a few seconds).
Sep 10th, 2012 at 13:04 GMT
im with emh, kentucky looks like an island...
Sep 10th, 2012 at 13:08 GMT
Kick a kettle, kite, and a king's kerchoo. GET OUT OF MY BRAIN, DOCTOR SEUSS. Also, I was really angry by the third time I typed Kyrgyzstan, accentuating each letter, and it didn't pay off with an answer.
Sep 10th, 2012 at 13:20 GMT
Drat, those darn kookaburras. I would have had a perfect score, but noooooo... I see most people missed "keystone". Since I live in Pennsylvania, nicknamed, "The Keystone State", I got that one.
Sep 10th, 2012 at 15:25 GMT
@BonnieH: Kebab is the Armenian term for any grilled meat, while shish kebab refers to meat that's skewered. English being what it is, we just use the "kebab" part.
Sep 10th, 2012 at 15:28 GMT
Kentucky was confusing, I thought the blue surroundings meant island, so I way typing islands, Kiribati, Key West, Key Largo...none of them worked out.
Sep 10th, 2012 at 16:55 GMT
That is a ridiculously cute kitten.
Sep 10th, 2012 at 17:16 GMT
I think a lot of people would be okay with Kentucky being an island.
